NA actually looks really good this season

Lugg··1 votes·698 views

The new influx of high quality foreign players should be great for NA this season. Bjerg is actually going to have to actually work to be best mid now. The teams are better across the board and there should be some real competition for playoff spots. All of this together should end up making the NA teams much better prepared for international play by the end of the year.

If NA is actually not the laughing stock of competitive LoL this time, then the person writing this comment right now is actually a 10/10 qt3.14 busty Asian chick who is single in your area.

This is the best NA has looked as a whole ever. While I don't think they are World favorites or anything, this should go a long way in getting them back to respectability.

"Back to respectability"

NA was actually respectable? Have we actually had a Worlds where we didn't crash and burn in group stages?

No it isn't. Last year only TSM looked strong, by the end of the season we were barely better than a wild card region. This NA split looks amazing, I would put any of the top 6 of this split to make it to top 2 of last split. NRG, C9, IMT and TSM look better than CLG, the best teams NA had last split. Imo it's RNG and CLG in 5th and 6th, and they both look at least on par with last split's TSM, and certainly above who ever they had 3rd place. And they don't even look good this split, that's how bad it was last time. I watched OGN games, then watched NA games and i felt like i was watching solo queue or like some little league BS. Whatever it is this split, it can't get worse than it was last split.

This is the best NA has ever looked top to bottom. That should help a lot in producing a better team for Worlds at the end of the year.

i wouldn´t get my hopes up too soon - i don´t think there´s any team as strong as S3 C9 in NA currently, and they still didn´t make it far in worlds...but i guess the bottom teams are closer than last season, so at least it should be an interessting LCS season.

The depth of competition this season is exactly why I have hope for NA. There won't be any "off" weeks to coast on. This will make all the NA teams much better this year. Plus the influx of international talent will help tons.

S4 C9 and TSM > S3 C9

i tend to disagree here, S3 there hadn´t been that many stronger teams internationally. While it may be possible that S4 C9 played better than S3, they still had been further off from the top internationally. And that development only seems to get worse...though maybe NA can really improve their standing this season when macro-strategy is not a major part of the game anymore - just that it won´t matter to me anymore then i guess.

Nah, it is really the other way around. In S4 C9 had Balls and Meteos on their highest peaks because of favourable meta, and Sneaky was consdierably imrpoving from S3. Compared to the international teams, they were at the highest point a NA team has ever been (excluding S1, of course) In S3 there were multiple Eu teams that could have competed with C9 (FNC, Gambit, Lemondogs), Chinese were relevant, Korea was good In S4 there wasn't the Eu competition because Eu was going through generational change and even the better teams for a serious of coincidences and unfortunate events underperformed at Worlds

this will be single handedly the most terrifying season out of all of them, no team is safe from relegation this season

Which is great since everyone will have to up their game.
