I think CLG will do much better at Worlds than people expect. They are playing their best right now and have some serious momentum. They probably have the best bot lane in NA, probably the best top in NA, and a solid mid and jungler. Their chemistry and shot calling is really good at the moment.
While I don't think they will win it, I think they will represent pretty well.
I'll go ahead and call it 50-50 for getting out of group stage. The 3rd seed will have a really hard time scraping by, though.
So I probably give them a little more credit than most, but not as much as you.
If you compare the map rotation of teams like CLG, TSM, and TL, to the top teams in other region like SKT, LGD, FNC..etc, you can see there is a GAP. As far as the players individual skills go, I think every team player from every region is relatively the same. The only difference is, NA seems to just lack the rotations that other teams have.
I like NA, specifically, TSM and C9; i do want them to win, but I just can't see it. They make much more mistakes then the other top teams from other regions.
I have seen what group they will be in yet or who they will be facing so I want make that call just yet
i want 2 agree but the truth is na is the weakest of the regions and will most likely get bounced out fast
People saying NA is the weakest region - Yea i agree on the overall view of the LCS.
But i do believe CLG is on top of all NA teams by a margin. They have great macro play for NA standards. Na teams usually just play insanely sluggish and even if they'd get ahead by some miracle they'd give away the lead slowly just simply cause they're bad at macro.
It's the first time since like 3 seasons i'm seeing a NA team playing the macro correctly in flow with the meta. CLG is gonna suprise people for sure. TSM has been insanely , insanely overrated ( quite honestly they arent much better than a wildcard )
Zionspartan thinks CLG can win worlds with their current lineup - i think thats a bit, or alot to far quite honestly but I do think CLG can at least show something. They're doing well but the competition is huge this year is what i feel like.
Theres big competition this year, so quite honestly i dont think it's going to be up to CLG on how they perform, its gonna be up to the other teams if they drop the ball, other teams are giong to be underperforming heavily and CLG has to be on their prime if they wanna get to quarters/semi's. But if theres an NA team, for sure its CLG.
