Worlds would be SO MUCH better with fewer teams

for one simple reason - NO CRAPPY GROUP STAGE

group stages suck. this is pretty much an undisputable fact. we finally get all these teams together from around the world and we only get to see them play 3 other teams? group stages also suck because they introduce so much luck when grouping teams together, but they are a necessary evil because there are so many teams at worlds.

worlds would be so much better with only 10 teams (top 2 from each region and 2 wildcards) and heres why... YOU CAN HAVE EVERY TEAM PLAY EVERY OTHER TEAM - it sucks so bad to see teams only play 3 other teams and then half the fricking teams drop out for the bracket stage. all these 3rd place teams are just filler anyway and are pretty useless. what you could do is put the 3rd place team from each region into the wild card tournament to try and beef up the quality of the wild card slots so they aren't such a joke.

Except number 3 from EU beat number 1 from China and number 3 from NA beat number 1 from LMS in game 1 of the various groups

So how "all these 3rd place teams are just filler anyway and are pretty useless" ?

If anything, you should expand world to avoid wildcard teams to unbalance the strength of the various groups when doing the draw
