If matches were scripted, TSM would have not made finals 9 times in a row like they have. You'd think a new team would be making finals and stuff.
So stop saying its scripted, you guys have no idea how a little thing called "momentum" works.
KazaLyn Shao3 votesPeople are only claiming scripted because they're butthurt.
GeminiRune1 votesCalm down. Calm down. Other than the salty and upset fans, it's all in fair fun about the scripted nonsense...or is it. -gets a fake mustache- Nyahahahahaha~
Miror B1 votesThe counter argument being that Korea is essentially being built up as that "unstoppable monster", so they need something consistent in the other regions to make it a true david vs goliath story (instead of multiple iterations of different-race davids vs the same goliath). While I personally don't think it's scripted (as doing so would require a massive coverup which if "unravelled" would probably capsize the entire idea of esports as a whole to investers), I like to think that you can't rule out any possibilities on anything in life.
WinBoat1 votesTo be honest, I dont think it's scripted besides what the casters and analyst might say, but as far as the matches? No.
However..... The players could be getting paid more by outside people, maybe bookies, gamblers, or who knows could be paying players to throw certain games and keep it close. (I doubt Riot would do this, cause I don't think any player would keep it a secrety, and in fact, monte carlo or whatever, the ex LCK caster has said riot doesnt pay enough).
So if anything, there could be some shady play outside of the Riot community influencing players to throw games.
