Move the servers to solve ping

Where is the explanation for why the servers (the ping problem) was moved from west to east?

How many billions of dollars, and years of development, does it take to do sensible and standard solutions like having TWO servers for a LARGE area?

Instead our east coast ping problem was literally swept under the west coast's rug

Not really, they indeed saw an increase on ping but the standars they were aiming for was 50ms average, the west coast was around 10-30ms so they just got leveled so it became fair. Even chicago players are around 45ms
