Riv needs to be removed from casting

Now hear me out....

  1. Riv has a great voice for casting. However, it is his ONLY strength when it comes to casting.

  2. He almost never understands the game at a high level

  3. He rarely understands the game at a basic level

  4. He pretends to understand the game at a high level by reiterating what other casters say

  5. Most of the time he will just repeat what another caster has said and add "indeed" to the end of it

  6. He confuses players, items, champions, and abilities and overall does not do a good job of providing clarity

I'm sorry if this offends anybody, but whenever I see that riv is set to cast a game, I am less inclined to watch the game.

My suggestion would be to move him to interviews or something where he doesn't have to provide much info, he can essentially read things off of a teleprompter/piece of paper

Rito for the love of god and all things holy, please get rid of him as a caster

EDIT: for those saying that it is very difficult to cast a teamfight without making errors. Yes, I get that, but you are missing my point. He fails outside of teamfights, even at lulls in the game, talking about incorrect movements or incorrect items

The play by play caster doesn't have to know as much as the color analyst.

It's like that in pro football and baseball too.

Try casting a lol team fight yourself full speed. You'll find it's very difficult to get every move, every player, and every character right.

If I'm a football annoucer, I have time between weeks to study rosters and the like and do practice calls. And once at the game, And when it is, in about 8 or so seconds, it probably takes me a sentence or so to describe the action. It's Davis takes it in the endzone, coming out to the wedge at the 15, to the outside at the 30, 40 50, one man to beat. They're not going to catch him. He's gone. 10 5 Touchdown State!!!

Meanwhile if I'm a lol l guys in that same 6-8 seconds of time I have to call 7 or 8 ultes plus other moves and the like that would take far more talking in the same amount of time. It's not easy and yes some mistakes are made. Anyone would. It's not an easy thing to do.

This is why they always have a "main" and "supporting" caster. The main caster's job is to be able to talk fast, and make the moment to moment plays feel exciting. The supporting caster's job is to bring brains to the table, and be an analyst for after any plays. The only caster that doesn't really fit this role is Phreak. As for Riv, Pastrytime, and CaptainFlowers, they are less knowledgeable than the likes of Azael, Jatt, and Kobe. Sure, they can still add in some facts, but they don't have to be as knowledgeable as the supporting casters.

In my opinion, Riv is actually the best caster. Sure, he gets stuff mixed sometimes, but every caster does as well. Out of all of the main casters, he uses his strengths the best.

I agree, remove phreak from casting to make NA entirely watchable at all times. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Riv doesn't analyze. He is a caster and he only talks about the simple stuff that is happening on the screen. There is a "caster analyst" who usually accompanies him or other casters. These guys tend to go into depth

Indeed, look at it like this, WWE has casters for their matches for example( Michael Cole and Tazz/ JR and King), Cole and JR are the more Riv like caster, more of a spokesman with a " great voice for casting", he's more of your "every day guy" that says/repeats what the more experienced player casters say but says what they say exactly for us to understand to some degree.

Yeah for me it's Riv and Phreak in last, with Azeal sometimes scoring high on the bad side since he's always so biased in his casts
