Trist isn't airborne when she rocket jumps, shes actually dashing despite the visuals. Most likely she was rocket jumping and got hit by some other displacement in the process, and that's what allowed her to be ulted.

That's a bug. Should report it. Trist's not launching herself into the air, she's dashing despite the visuals (her's is one of the clunkiest in the game).

This is definitely a bug and is one they had fixed in the past. Double check, get a friend and do a test. if its doing it again, report the bug.

EDIT: Because it is possible that you were hit with some other form of displacement effect during or right after the jump.
