Being the 3rd seed in NA for worlds sucks major ass
You have to fight your ass of in the gauntlet AND the play in for a spot at worlds, just for a spot.

Indeed, gotta fight through 1-3 best of series, followed up by like 3 games in the play-in stage, finally, having to win in another best of 5, just to be in Groups. Who ever does that no one can't say X team didn't earn their spot to be in groups. lol
Worst case scenario is facing WE in round 2, everything else should be comparatively easier but there might be a "TPA" in the "Unknown" teams like in season 2
On the other hand it does give the exposure to small teams who would rarely see global competitive matches
