C9 vs TSM - Not sure why they are even playing.

SaltyToplaneGoat··1 votes·884 views

I mean, one got a team comp completly built around the strongest adc in the game they managed to firstpick, the other does neither pick hard engages or CC dedicated champs that do not really hypersynergize with each other. I felt like I wasted 30 minutes for watching a game go like you've expected it from champ select on...

Sure, the game ain't over, but I doubt C9 will win that...

LMAO, this should be a lesson to scrubs. Never give up, there is always a way to win if you make the right plays.

C9! C9! C9!

Well who would expect TSM to engage on their fulltank lee while C9 has baron?

Bronze level throw.

Usually I don't watch Esports. Now I did. And will never again. If I want to see the same old OP garbage and atrocious throws I'd rather just go into SoloQ...

People want to talk about how OP Kog is, but a good GP is still one of the most insane champions with the barrel damage and global ultimate.

its sad it comes down to one champ also i stoped watching half way through riot needs to balance a few champs instead of forcing the meta this felt like a rigged game as i know C9 is not this dumb they would have choose cc right away

There are so many choices you could pick vs Kog, even if he is strong like this. Lissandra for example, or maybe a burst mage like Veigar. The deal is to neutralize the enemy dps as fats as possible or at least keep them cced during the teamfights.

Not to mention all the cc engage tanks. But no, instead there is a GP top, a Lee jungle and a Soraka support. They pretty much lost that in champ select... after all they knew Kog was in this game and they still picked like that...

Sad that you quit watching, great game.

Great game...meh, the comeback could have seem exciting, but it was more of a complete clownfiesta at that point to allow C9 to comeback

That is how competition works bud. When someone is behind the other team/person has to let them back, but it's the perseverance of the team that allows them to take advantage of mistakes that leading teams usually make. Teams that get ahead usually lose focus and make errors. It's not something that is unique to lower elo, it's human nature and can be observed in any professional sport.

sure, in this meta there´s no comeback without the opponent heavily throwing it since they reintroduced vision-snowballing this preseason. It´s rather a sad affair compared to previous seasons.

That's untrue Rewatch UOL vs VIT in week 4. VIT was able to comeback in the game despite UOL not making big mistakes after getting the lead - UOL was too passive, but the comeback happened on some marvelous VIT outplay - UOL at that point was slightly behind, and then they got the lead back through outplaying a VIT team that was playing good and not throwing to grab the win in the end

A team came comeback, it is just really difficult...what happened here, though, was just a clownfiesta with TSm completely throwing it

yea, they had been fairly evenly matched and made no major mistakes during champ-select...which is fairly rare currently. Also both teams just play a very similar makro-focused style without taking too many risks. UoL just hit a point where Fiora could splitpush despite being 0/3 and Vit really is one of the most proficient splitpushing teams in europe atm, so they had a hard time to find answers to that...so yea, sometimes those games happen, but those conditions are very hard to find atm - especially if you compare it to previous seasons.

Yeah, the point it is just that you can come back without enemies doing huge mistakes, the fact is that your chances are usually slim because losing fights/objective control is punished a lot and so you have to do everything perfect to get out of the hole The fact is that this game isn't an example either, because TSM threw beyond any reasonable measure to not lose that in any season you were playing

I think TSM made two major mistakes, not a big throw: the let GP through, and you just saw how his ult carried C9early on while he still has the scariest lategame of all Champs - majorly underestimating Balls. Also they went with an offensive Grags-build while playing a protect the Kog comp...i really can´t stand that decission. all he had to do is peel and make sure balls couldn´t get a good chain onto kog´maw in fights. Sure, 10%ms is kinda broken - but in that comp he absolutly had to go for the defensive path.

Nah, you can call the mistakes done looking in hindsight, but the point that TSM reached when they had cracked into C9 base and they could have had easily choked off C9 make all these reasoning irrelevant, at that point they needed big mistakes to lose and they had - credit to C9 for executing the fight realy well, but TSM should have never ever allowed that -

it´s not hindsight, it´s a compositional thing. And letting GP through is just always hybris currently - you can get away with it when you outclass your opponent anyway like currently with CLG vs REN (REN really has to part with RF if they want any chance at avoiding the 10th place, he´s just outclassed by anyone mechanically and in terms of map awareness), but it´s still just an unnecessary risk to take.

It's hindsight, it's hindsight I can agree that you should not leave GP open at the moment if you can, BUT, regardless of GP, TSM get to a point where their advantage was more than enough to take out GP and the entire C9 quite easily. Instead, they just throw the advantage over and over till the point the GP catched up and could punish them to death
