Why didnt TSM ban viktor?
Wtf?!?!?! Im a little new to the format of these tournaments, TSM will still be going to worlds right?

I really do think they dropped the ball by not banning Viktor. Zion might have been awarded the "mvp" but I think pobelter was the true mvp because of the viktor. That fight a baron, Viktor pulled everyone towards himself to allow his team to get into range to fight, chunks them to about half and THEN 1v1's bjergsen?! No idea why they didn't ban Viktor.
They will be going to worlds. The reason they didn't ban Victor is because pic and ban phase isn't as simple as banning a champ because pobelter did well on him.
But he did great the first two games? Its just like when tsm went against liquid. Bjergsen on azir wasnt being stopped so he continued to do amazing
They wanted to prioritize other champs. It's also very easy to see that they believed that they can pull a win with a comp they lost in.
They had a chance to take jinx or trist but believed they can pull it off. I don't know if it was the players or manager but that was very clear to me
Personally, I would've banned Xmithie out. Force him onto a champ like Evelynn or something.
They pick Viktor? There are a lot of counters to deal with midlane Viktor. I also noticed that there wasn't a Locket of the Iron Solari built by either Santorin or Lustboy, which could've helped a lot. 1st game Orianna wasn't great either.
Also, giving Dyrus the final pick in game 3 would've been better than giving it to Bjergsen. Bjergsen goes Yasuo? Cool. Here's something that can really set Yasuo up in the backline....Malphite. Combine those with Alistar, and it becomes a bounce house. And if they've got Gnar, Malphite has the speed steroid he can get from throwing the turd at Gnar to balance the boomerang toss. Malphite also gets bonus armor to deal with the AD carry, waveclear just like Nautilus under the turret. And if you give him say, a RoA, Abyssal Scepter, or some other AP item to go along with his defensive items, he has more oomph to his abilities. Or you can turn him into an AP monster with that tackle/burst. And now they have to build defense heavily against both AD(Yasuo and Wildturtle's ADC champ) and AP.
There were enough other priority things to hit.
Honestly the issue was positioning and a lack of MR against the Viktor which cost them, not so much the pick itself.
