Do you guys think CLG threw the last game hard?

Do you think they purposely threw the game, or just said what the fuck, we aren't advancing, so lets have fun?

First off, no one in their right mind picks Bard as a support in professional play EVER. What does Bard bring? No one picks him, by far the worst support in the game although his concept is cool, and he looks cool and all, but it's more of a troll pick than anything else, and in normal play, you can expect Bard to leave lane and never come back. To pick him in professional play tho is just mind boggling. This shows CLG doesn't care to give a good game for their last match and has nothing to lose.

Second is Zionspartan. In my opinion, I feel like Riven could have literally destroyed the other team, and Zion usually plays WAY better than that. Funny enough, Bard almost did as much damage than Riven. I think Zion's damage was like 5700 or o on Riven, and Bard's was 5400. That's pretty sad in itself, and you'd think Zion would have done much better, even if he was down and losing badly, he would have delt more damage.

So, did they throw on purpose, or just decided to not give a fuck about giving everyone one good last match?

No, they lost. They wanted to win. It's not right to take away from what Pain did just because CLG lost with a different team comp.

Aphro played Bard in LCS. No, they didn't throw on purpose. Zion had a bad worlds overall. The Riven play was just the capper to a week of bad play.

I think they zoned out and didn't really care about the game.

They didn't throw on purpose, they just lost. CLG had a bad day today, some of them might have even tilted.

Bard support offers a lot of utility if played right. I remember we had the same discussion about Tahm too, around here, on boards, with the same conclusions, "troll pick", "annoying champ", until we saw him played right, like today, by Gorilla. Same with Riven. You can't expect professionals to play and deal with Riven the same as we do at low elo. Zionspartan not gonna 1v5 Pain Gaming with Riven, will simply not gonna happen.
