LCS Tank Supports and Redemption?

I’ve been seeing this trend, at least when watching LCS matches, of tanks in the support role, namely Galio, Tahm, and I think Braum, rushing Redemptions in their items (even Olaf in the pro’s jungle rushes it) foregoing a number of tank items first. Did I miss a meta change not too long ago with this? Why are tanks apparently taking it up as an early buy?

It makes sense. Mana regen, long ranged heal, buffs their innate shields, a but of HP5. It's more of an early game power spike that helps them stay in lane more than flat armor or bonus HP.

I guess we can expect a Redemption nerf in the future...
