Before i go into this: YES, I'm a Western fanboy.

Now, is it possible that the 4 top teams in the entire world come from NA and EU?

I firmly believe that G2 is the best team in the world right now. They proved it at MSI and have continually proved it during their split. I also firmly believe that TL is a top 4 team after their MSI performance and their split performance.

With that being said, and the more I watch from other regions, I genuinely believe that C9 is a top 4 team and I think it's entirely possible that Fnatic could be the fourth best team in the world. This past MSI had global implications and the more I watch Korea and China, the more I am just unimpressed with their gameplay.

I really do think it's not too far from the truth to say that the top 4 teams in the world come from NA and EU.

With the elimination of wards, methodical play(hence why the LCK has been garbage) and the recent elimination of slow paced styles and tanks(hence why the LPL won Worlds and is still in my opinion, the best region), less gold for anything and everything - we've come to the conclusion that any team can beat the other.

We also have to remember that Korea has Pool 2 Seeds for Worlds! Which means either NA's or EU's #1 Seed will be placed in a group with the LCK's #1 Seed + also LPL's #2 Seed..... Remember last year with Team Liquid and how TL was already eliminated before they faced Edward Gaming? It's going to be like that for Western teams......and for NA....each year it's up to Cloud 9.

Korea is slowly but surely coming around the mountain with the fast paced, no brain, dmg, fight-fight-fight meta/style that ~~League~~ of Mortal Kombat ~~Legends~~ has become. Wouldn't be surprised if Damwon makes it to Worlds this year that they win the whole thing.

I don't think Team Liquid is a top 4 team in the World. I would place Splyce in the Top 4 best teams in the World before I'd place Team Liquid there.
Are we suppose to bend it over and s$ck the D of Liquid because they beat IG at MSI? Great win and overall it was competitive but no! D-Lift teams on the International stage is 1 win and 9 losses against Korean teams.... 0-2 against ROX 2015 Worlds 1-1 against SSG 2016 Worlds 0-2 against KT 2018 Worlds 0-2 against KZD 2018 MSI 0-2 against SKT 2019 MSI and like I said before........ Korea's #1(Griffin and or) or #2 Seed( SK Telecom T1)(examples) will be Team Liquid's Group at Worlds. NA has a hard problem with International teams(Evos Gaming, Pain Gaming, Supermassive, Albus Nox Luna.

We are taking MSI a bit too far with NA.... Anyone remember 2016? Remember when NA was placed on a mountain and how EU made it further than NA at Worlds after the hype of 2016 MSI with CLG? Anyone remember how "bad" 2017 EU looked at Rift Rivals and how FNC went from 0-4 in groups to 4-4 and making it out of groups? Remember how TSM was in the "Free Group" and was eliminated by EU's 3rd Seed that gave SKT a 5 game fight?

Let's just stop with this foolishness!

NO NA teams are in the Top 4 best teams in the World! You could argue NA's best teams aren't even in the Top 10 currently.

Well see how strong the Western teams(mainly NA) are at Worlds this year.

I hate the MSI hype. People forget too easily that it is a tournament that decides nothing but some seeding for Worlds. It's slapped in the middle of the splits, often causes teams to slump because they didnt have time off to rest and practice, and is a different patch than we will see at World's.

As for hyping the West by eye test vs East? That's lazy and silly. While "the gap" between top teams in the regions may be closing, there is absolutely no getting around the fact the floor for LPL and LCK is way higher than NA. There's a reason West teams import players from the East and not vice versa.

Finally, I don't care if they upset IG at MSI if they got swept in a record low for a 5 game series. That just highlights how much of a clown fest MSI is.
