Why LPL esports site is the worst

TheGrot··1 votes·640 views

There are no match histories on the website. Go here for example. There are no player builds available. You can't see runes or masteries or skill order or anything. LCK has it, EU LCS has it, NA LCS has it, so why doesn't LPL have it?

To be fair, the main site is pretty terrible for things outside of that. Even their actual "detailed" LCS articles fail massively compared to the stuff written by Emily Rand and Kelsey Moser. If it weren't for their extremely marketable NA players, you'd find it hard to really justify them having the esports site at all.

Indeed, even tho I personally dislike Kelsey's voice, I love her articles. I'm more of a Thorin guy myself(no homo). The site seems to be getting better in the last split or two but 4-5 years of baron news and articles don't add up evenly.

Barren is the word I think you meant, unless they're somehow making those articles specifically about dignitas/P1 throws. Much like Frosk, I've sorta gotten used to kelsey's voice only because much of what she says kinda makes sense and is hard to really disagree with (unlike monte who I've grown to despise massively over the past 4 months as it feels like he's trying to milk his LCK days for all he can get now). Would heavily recommend checking out Thorin's new "Narrative Wake" thing, as it alone has done more to esports than the majority of the lolesports.com articles (the most recent one delving into LMS, specifically how flash wolves might be too dominant for their own good and that the game might be dying globally due to how much of a niche audience it requires now).

Yeah, barren/Was kinda going for a cheeky word "Baron" get it..........;[ I like her voice but she pauses constantly, it's like she doesn't know what she's saying and just making it up out of the blue, kinda sounds like me on these boards at times lol . I'll check it out, sounds interesting. I too dislike Monte, for obvious reasons just has that My s$it don't stink face and attitude" about him. As well as I too noticed he's trying to get every penny out of LCK/when he talks s$it about League/Riot but keeps on bringing them up, like an old girlfriend attitude or something.

I actually liken Monte to this one former WWE wrestler guy "Ryback". The guy was super popular at one time due to the fact that he's ridiculously strong, was buried heavily by WWE because outside of that one niche he was terrible, eventually got released by the company, only to then spend the majority of the time since bickering about them and helping indy stuff. For a guy who once had the business savvy to own an LCS team, you think he'd realize how much LCK means to him and his reputation.

Monte is smart, passionate and very capable of owning his craft at what he does, I personally just don't care much for him or his attitude. He has every reason to hate Riot over what they've done to him, his team etc. He talks about League/Riot like trash but whenever he gets a chance to rub anything in Riot's face he does so in a very petty way.
Has that "taking a s$it look on his face" constantly that goes well with his " I'm right 24/7 you're wrong". You can see that in every LCK game prior to his release or whatever, with Papasmitty. Papa says something "XXXXXXXX" and Monte fires right back with his gospel truth " yeah, kinda wrong but XXXXXXX" with of course his "scrunched" up toilet face expressions.
