TSM vs C9-Spoilers

Hi there!!!! I'm a TSM and IMT fan (BJERG AND WT, LET'S GO BABYYYYYYYYYYY), but that's not what this is about. This is about C9 drafting/banning phase.

  1. Corki, why was it banned in Game 2? There seems like absolutely no reason for it.
  2. Also, in game 2, they picked Zed into a Janna Maokai comp. There was no way that he was ever going to get a pick off in a teamfight, and that's a problem for Zed.
  3. Then there was C9's reliance on Kindred, which highlighted Rush's small champion pool as soon as Lee and Nidalee were banned in game 3. C9 is a good team, and I enjoy watching them, specifically Sneaky, but their drafting phase seems so much worse than it should be. Also, Rush's champion pool needs to lengthen, otherwise they won't win anything with certain bans.

From my understanding

  1. Corki's a powerful flex pick they had no intention of letting TSM have as both bjerg and liftlift can play him well. 2)From the start of the series C9 had been focusing on an early game playstyle and sort of snowballing the game, so if they had actually managed to snowball their teamcomp zed would've done decent. Still not a great pick imo. 3)So of the tier list of top junglers, most were either consistently banned or picked up by TSM, forcing Rush onto a something he was less comfortable with. Like in the 4th game, both Graves and Gragas are great junglers AND toplaners, and tsm managed to pick up both after banning out I believe lee and nid. Elise was up, but he might not have been comfortable on it OR wanted to try and spread their dmg as they had two heavy magic dmg carries in mid and bot.

IDK if its completely Rush's fault with Kindred, TSM could play around it really well as well as forcing him onto some weaker picks. but I didn't like C9's refusal to draft another jungler other than kindred.

felt like the whole thing was rigged it like riot needs tsm to get points to go to world or they lose fans and money getting pretty sad as tsm sucks now

I still don't get why Rush didn't play Nunu in Game 4.

  1. He's played it this Spring and did great with him.
  2. Taking over the jungle would have been a great psychological win to get C9's confidence back and slow TSM's momentum (I'm a firm believer in momentum in all sports).
  3. The extra front line would have been appreciated since C9 already had plenty of damage.

Then bring Kindred back out in game 5 if you want, but when you're on a slide like that you have to put up a wall of some kind. It is what it is but I think Nunu would have completely blindsided TSM.
