RIP C9
Lost 1-3 TSM in finals, lost 2-3 TSM in finals in a clutch teamfight, then lost 1-3 DIG in playoffs.

Let's Maokai through ban phase because hey banned casss
They deserve the loss. Idiotic draft
They also randomly kept impact in all of their games from what I can understand (checked the "box score", so I might be off on a few things). While I am not surprised as to the actual outcome (was thinking that Dig kinda eclipsed c9 midway through the season and just currently has better non-mid players), the fact reapered butchered that draft so hard after an article was written specifically about him is something I find quite funny.
curious question: you aren't a c9 fan are you?
When the #4 team looks worse than the #6 team...
When people try to suggest that standings somehow matter after the regular season proves that barring the top-2 teams the rest of the playoff ones are quite even...
NV entered playoffs with a losing record, the LirA 1v9 meme was pretty much in full effect, and they pushed CLG, who for much of the split was tied or alone at #1, to five games.
Meanwhile, C9 has been an alleged powerhouse, has the statistically best mid in the game as well as one of the best rated bot lane duos, and they only barely avoided being fully swept because Dig fooled around in their Game 3 draft.
Tell me, how is it not a sad display and a great shame?
For about 3/4 of the split, C9 has been "1v9" carried by jensen while dig and CLG have been weaker versions of IMT/TSM. Oh, and CLG being tied at or alone for first for the majority of the split, hah, good one ;).
Considering how badly they butchered the draft (the fact rito released an article calling reapered the "solution" in the same week as this only making me laugh) combined with their toplane that looks to be at par with NV's, C9 is lucky to have not been facing a better team like clg/tsm/imt. The fact this is somehow a "great shame" on them is baffling, as the teams were relatively even going into the playoffs with potential "slight edges" going towards dig who have shown they can use multiple win conditions outside of "plz 1v9 for us, jensen".
While most of the split Jensen was the top performer on his team, he was not carrying a team. Contractz had a good split, and while Sneaky and Smoothie each had consistency issues both still put up worthy performances throughout the split. Jensen may have been the tip of the spear, but he was not alone.
You ignore imperical data that CLG was indeed one of the top teams. if not the top team by record? That's just plain facts.
Finally, considering the split Ssumday had compared to what struggles Impact and Ray had, Impact did a great job playing his lane and doing his best for a team that didn't have an answer to Maokai. It's not his fault that the carries would dive too deep and be caught.
Like it or not, C9 has been on a winning streak and on the rise, while DIG were a bit rocky and NV was looking pretty bad. To get clowned by DIG and NV took CLG to the brink of elimination, Cloud 9 should be ashamed.
