i think there are much better things you could be doing with it. like maybe giving the top 10 elo people in each state some money or something at the end of each season. something like that would be cool I think and give people a chance to feel semi-pro and to have some extra incentive to excel at the game.

And what would they do for EU/Canada/people that live in other countries but play on NA because their country doesn't have a server (coughJapancough)?
this is EXTREMELY flawed, this change has nothing to do with solo q at all and its something that people have been asking to have for a while now, and besides most of the top elo players are pros anyways
heck with the amount its gonna cost to make these format changes they could probly give out 10 grand per state
While I do agree that the new summer LCS format is questionable, I wouldn't think Riot would give out monetary prizes for soloqueue ranks in place of it.
