Prepare for an entire year of Twitch chat banter
We're sorry NA.
We're sorry NA.
Are you really? lol
I think most of you guys have been waiting for this.
Of course we're not sorry, I'm on twitch right now drinking it up.
Ayy lmao, firin' up the BBQ here.
not really, I think NA constantly overestimates itself and thus doesn´t really improve as much...they like to talk big more than to actually do sth. as far as LoL goes. Just compare e.g. how CLG and TSM talked about even winning or finishing Top4, while OG is just happy and humble to get to worlds and takes it game for game. I really hope they finally got their lesson and will come back strong next year, but so far history doesn´t add much to support that hope - especially when Hai wonßt be playing anymore next year.

Based on what I remember, the Koreans are actually the most infamous trash-talkers. I've never heard of people in the NA or EU going so far as to remind a person they're ugly up to the point that the person is basically forced to get plastic surgery to alleviate the ridicule from everyone. Then there's the games and other topics.
I'd say the Koreans talk way more trash than NA, EU, BR, China, SEA, etc.

It's not like nearly every other country has a nuclear weapon.
Good thing we Americans spend billions on smear campaigns for running presidents and not helping the millions of hungry or homeless people
This is the most autistic comment I have seen in a while
This is why other countries think americans are fucking idiots.
Fair enough, you dealt with it last year.
NA and EU seem to alternate which region sucks each year.
EU never sucked. Won Worlds Season 1, had 2 teams in Semifianls in Season 2, had 1 Team in Semifinals in Season 3 (and another in quarters). S4 was the only time EU had a bad performace at worlds.
Season 1 doesn't count, there was no Korea. Europe got smashed at All-stars 2014, and at worlds 2014. EU has historically done better than NA, but they have had their weak moments.
Why would Season 1 not count lol?
EU had 1 bad year, 2014, but every other year (2011, 2012. 2013 and now 2015) they have been clearly better than NA.
EU was overall bad only at S4 when old Fnatic line-up cicle was ending badly and Alliance and SK were not able to step up for various reason (Alliance being shaky and throwing away Worlds vs kabum, and Sk playing the first 3 games at worlds without strating jungler and team star), in the other season EU was kinda good( heck, in S4 it was only Europe failures that allowed NA to advance to the quarterfinals, with C9 making use of Alliance failure and with SK tha beat TSM in the game whn they were with full roster)

i think S4 mostly had been the downfall of M5, so there hadn´t been the competition of Fnatic and M5 that did push EU the years before...allowing weaker teams to rise and EU to go stall. SK and Alliance both couldn´t step up for rather obvious reasons: they tried to copy the methodical playstyle of Koreans and playing it slowly/one-dimensional ultimatly, without even reaching Koreas lvl of execution. I´m glad EU found back to their own style of "organized chaos" this year for the most part, showing rather strong again.
I think the problem was mainly Alliance not stepping up as the top dog They were a team stacked with top heavy talent in EU, but they just had all flawed talented players so that when something started go wrong, they crashed down Wickd was one of the worlds best at bruisers/fighters top lane (including his fantastic irelia), but in S4 Worlds there was no place for these top laners and he couldn't pick different champs and ended up playing mediocre, Shook was shaky as hell going from great to piss poor jungling, Tabzz was solid but not up to the par of the mechanically best ADC in a meta where ADC were far more important than now, Nyph was solid but nothing special and added little to fix shotcalling faults for Alliance, and Froggen, well, was the usual Froggen always focused on himself only
Sk was instead a nice surprise, a team without super talent (except Sven) played in a really good way, having great teamfighting and team work skills - basically what H2k and TL should have tried to replicate as far as gamestyle goes this season, imho - ...they had obviously no chance beyond quarter finals, but they just got stopped from advancing in the groups and beating NA 2nd seed in TSM by Sven being an asshole towards Korean fans leading him to a punishment and to a 0-3 upon playing with a substitute jungler insteads, otherwise they went 2-1 in the back-end of the group stage and could have at least forced a tie breaker with S4 TSM

well yea, though that really didn´t surprise me. It had been just more of the old CLG.EU playstyle...win lategame. Same for Elements right now. And M5 already showed in S2 that this sort of palystyle doesn´t get you very far against superior opponents that are willling to fight you from the very beginning to finish the game early.

The main thing that surprised me about SK had been that their one-dimensional strategy (fastpush->snowball with the gold lead) hadn´t been punished the whole season. Much of that certainly is on Sven playing really well with a lead (though well playing, but toxic seemed to be SKs theme that season)...i don´t really think it´s worth copying. H2K is better off copying SKT right now, if they can mix that up with more creative drafts (prollys main strength as a player) to add some unpredictability they will grow into a very strong team. For TL some easy to execute basics might be the right way to get some stability though...
SK fastpush -> snowball in S4? WUT? They were the king of team fighters in EU in S4...despite Sven being really good, they couldn't snowball early in S4 because they weren't capable to get big advantages, but they were good at getting objectives at that stage of the game and then drag the game till the mid game where they built most of their victories upon successful teamfighting - and as matter of fact they lost in EU vs more talented teams that won heavily lanes and could snowball upon them in S4 - H2K problem is the terrible objective control and inconsistent teamfighting depending on how long can kasing protect hjarnan allowing him to do damage, upon the fact they have a terribad jungler for LCS level (loulex), the things that were exactly SK strengths back in S4, as H2K yet has far better mid and bot lanes that what SK had back then (for top lane would be closer, as it would depend on what version of freddy and Odoamne would show up). For TL, it is pretty much the same, as just like SK, they have on average good quality in every role but lack those elite level talent in any role in their team except for jungler , and they would need to do good teamfighting and objective control to overcome that
i might remember another season 4, but SK had been mostly win lane(swap), win game for me, rarly winning midgame without having a goldlead before. They tried the same this season and just got shut down completly.
For H2K I think they actually made a good case for themselves in worlds this year, they have a lot of potential. They really fought back vs SKT, with more polish next year it might be enough to trip the snowball in the other direction (especially since Odoamne had been the only top that didn´t get slaughtered by Marin in that group, just showing a lot of promise). With some more niche-strategizing they could become a really strong team (just bring out the midlane annies and ziggs!).
for TL yeas...they are pretty average, i donßt think there´s much hope.
SK problem was not strategy, but was simply that Eu level got MUCH higher. H2k and UoL entered in the scene, Fnatic got a brand new roster to get back to the top, later in summer Origen joined Eu LCS, Gambit relaunched too As the average level went up, as the level of laning and overall more attention was put on objective control in the jungle and on teamfighting (namely their strengths), their results decreased. let's not forget that they endedat 1st place 2015 spring RS...and then lost vs uoL in playoffs, and then they got shut down in summer when as said Origen joined, Giants had an hot start in summer, Roccat improved in the second half of summer split (to the point they caused troubles to origen in the gauntlet)
Sk couldn't find another way to get beyond their lane weaknesses and got dumpstered by the increasing level of competition
For H2k, they got lucky to get in through circuit points, because they showed that they are playing well, but just lost vs sheer talent vs the EU top teams in both splits as they lost two semfinals vs number 2 seeded team at both times, and won 3rd place finals vs lower talent team (SK) or team that was having troubles (UoL) with the actual line-up. Of course, they have a glearing weakness they can improve with a roster change - a good jungler for a terribad in loulex - but still, they did not found a way to beat top team now despite having kinda good laners
TL had like only one top 3 player in NA (IWD), but other 3 ranked like 4th in their positions (Quas, fenix, piglet), so theey are most likely to have at least an advantage in one position against most of their competition...it is just, they are not playng consistently well and just win vs lesser teams and lose vs the better ones, not being able to exploit other teams weaknesses and work amplyfing their strengths vs the adversary team game by game - how they weren't able to exploit AT ALL in Summer playoffs the advantage they had on top-jungler duo upon TSM in the summer semifinals is beyond me -
oh come on, stop hitting on loulex that hard, he played really good this worlds. I don´t think roster-swap is a good solution for H2K, they have still a lot of potential to grow with their current one...the best teams in league-history are the ones that stick with their roster if possible and improve step by step (i mean SKT had a horrible season 4, lots of people blamed all of it on Bengi - and now here we are in S5...and Bengi is carrying as hard as he did in S3 / Fnatic+M5->Gambit carried EU over 2 and a half season with about the same rosters).
In the current roster the only guy that has room to improve is hjarnan, and he is yet kinda good... Honestly, they are too far from the top to reach it only through Hjarnan improvement l don't think H2K has too change THAt much as far as roster goes, they have to replace what is the only below average player in their team with an above average player...and they should aim to add a team fighter supporting oriented jungler, imho, as they would greatly increase the potential they have upon the fact they could potentially line up 3 different threats on ryu, hjarnan and even odoamne on his preferred carry champs
if their are champion skins for a team I'm pretty sure they count
Holy Crap! All the energy and faith and group of life to end like this. Oo
