TSM, read this to stop losing games from champ select

Why do you keep putting Hauntzer on a carry champion and Doublelift on utility ADCs? For the love, this team does not work like that. This is what you guys should be doing.

Hauntzer: Naut/Gragas/Shen/Renekton

Svenskeren: Graves/Gragas/Lee/Khazix

Bjergsen: Syndra/Orianna/Ahri/Leblanc/Vlad

Doublelift: Caitlyn/Varus/Lucian/Ezreal

Biofrost: Karma/Thresh/Braum/Bard

Edit: Watching that first loss against IMT was painful knowing it was because you put Bjerg on Galio, under no reason should he have went a low damage mid lane.

Edit 2: Bjergsen again being put on Galio, and Hauntzer on a carry champion, GG 0-2 incoming

Or maybe it was because IMT are better?

Or they could just send all of TSM back to challenger, where they belong.

Bjerg gave Galio a new theme song. It goes, "Cuck the magic dragon, lives by the seaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Pretty decent list there. This has been their problem for years. They put their best players on utility champions and then throw all of their chips into the basket of the lesser players to carry the game....

It's the first week of the groupstages, relax.

I turned off the stream both times when I saw Bjergsen on Galio mid. He is your team's top playmaker. Typically when they put him on support (and now, tank) roles they don't do well.

Their teamcomp as a whole was just trash. Even if they managed to catch someone out, none of them were playing champs that could just delete someone. Maybe their plan was to have Galio CC-lock people down on the rumble ult while Ashe pelts from the outside. That's a pretty rough win condition though because there was no real burst damage coming from their team otherwise.

Maybe after sweeping C9 yesterday, they got comfortable and wanted to test out some teamcomps. Maybe they wanted to see if the "handicap-ourselves-in-champ-select" strat that lost them so many games internationally could have better success at home in NA.

If there is one thing that never seems to change about TSM, it's their knack for losing in champ select.

I agree with some of the comments from the casters. I think they were testing it. Reggie doesn't care about going 18/0.

I'll bet they won't ever do that again.

Or.... they could experiment early to try to see if there are new strategies that they can utilize.

When a team hits a certain level of consistent victory locally, but struggles internationally... there's an element of experimentation that has to happen. Scrims can help to a point, but a lot of teams don't take scrims entirely seriously so they need to also test it on stage.

Now, if this becomes a habit and they keep losing due to bad comps long-term... then we'll have the discussion. Week 1 just isn't that important.

Not sure what all the "Hauntzer can't carry" is about, the guy has proven on numerous occasions that he can hardcarry games. That being said I agree Bjerg should never be on a utility mid, complete waste of a monster player. Also DL has never looked great on Ashe, and with a tank mid and utility ADC they were never going to have enough damage to win that game without heavily snowballing.

If you want to call any one player on that team out for under-performing as of late I would say Sven is the obvious call, he's been consistently making the same mistake (invading without pressure/back-up) for literally 2 splits now, enough is enough dude.

FREESM lost in champ select again. Back to challenger.
