C9 v. TSM G3
I'm a little heated and disgusted and Just wanted to say C9 fucked that draft.
I'm a fan of C9, and a big fan of Leona (who has been one of my mains since her release), and have respect for what Quinn can do, but that draft....
Mostly centered around the Leona.
She is an amazing lane bully and lockdown teamfighter who works with almost any ranged carry bot... but Quinn is toward the bottom of the list that pair well with her.
Quinn's early damage, even with her passive is not great - Xayah, Jinn, MF, Tristana, Kalista all much better for laning.
And then when you get in to the late game, if Quinn is a dedicated split pusher, where is your damage to follow-up on Leona's engage / lockdown? 1 Melee tank, 1 melee bruiser, and one melee assassin that are easily countered and have trouble getting to the backline (and surviving long enough to have an impact)?
NO!
That's not how split-pushing at a pro level works.
If you are deadset on Leona, Either draft a comp that can clear waves and stall the opposing team properly, or draft a team that can team-fight around her.
Don't draft a teamfighter and then not draft any reliable follow-up able to avoid the AoE and CC.
If they were so keen on having Quinn, she should have been top and Sneaky should have played a hard carry / wave-clear.
Or change the support to one that is also annoying but not as all-in as Leona, when you don't have the comp for it, like Thresh. Tons of playmaking, engage, disengage, and area control to support 5v5 teamfights AND help harass and get people out of bad situations when the Quinn is split-pushing.
It didn't help that Zeyzal was choking on Leona ults, and Blaber was getting caught out in bad situations he shouldn't have been in, but that doesn't matter as much when you draft yourself into a horribly losing matchup against a top NALCS team before the gameplay even starts.
