New LCS Layout
This would apply to North America and Europe since its both LCS obviously. So pretty much it is a best of 2 series instead of best of 1s, this means the LCS will have twice as many games played and help NA and EU get more games in and mini series for adapting so on a world competitive setting NA and EU will have better practice against the top regions of China and Korea when they face off against them at certain points of the year (i.e. MSI and Worlds). Every week will be longer for LCS, but the days will not be (except for 1 day of the week, 2 watching both regions) which is simply spreading out the days more to be 3 days instead of 2 days.
The best of 2s will end up being the same team plays against two different teams for that week of LCS and this aspect will not change, just that team plays 4 games instead of 2 games per week over the same amount of weeks as it currently is for each split.
Okay, I will try to show an example setting for a week of LCS; the team name's will be EU/NA followed with a number of 1-10:
Tuesday: EU 1 [Red] vs EU 2 [Blue], EU 1 [Blue] vs EU 2 [Red] EU 3 [Red] vs EU 4 [Blue], EU 3 [Blue] vs EU 4 [Red] EU 5 [Red] vs EU 6 [Blue], EU 5 [Blue] vs EU 6 [Red]
Wednesday: EU 7 [Red] vs EU 8 [Blue], EU 7 [Blue] vs EU 8 [Red] EU 9 [Red] vs EU 10 [Blue], EU 9 [Blue] vs EU 10 [Red] EU 1 [Red] vs EU 3 [Blue], EU 1 [Blue] vs EU 3 [Red]
Thursday: EU 2 [Red] vs EU 4 [Blue], EU 2 [Blue] vs EU 4 [Red] EU 5 [Red] vs EU 7 [Blue], EU 5 [Blue] vs EU 7 [Red] EU 6 [Red] vs EU 9 [Blue], EU 6 [Blue] vs EU 9 [Red] EU 8 [Red] vs EU 10 [Blue], EU 8 [Blue] vs EU 10 [Red]
Friday: NA 1 [Red] vs NA 2 [Blue], NA 1 [Blue] vs NA 2 [Red] NA 3 [Red] vs NA 4 [Blue], NA 3 [Blue] vs NA 4 [Red] NA 5 [Red] vs NA 6 [Blue], NA 5 [Blue] vs NA 6 [Red]
Saturday: NA 7 [Red] vs NA 8 [Blue], NA 7 [Blue] vs NA 8 [Red] NA 9 [Red] vs NA 10 [Blue], NA 9 [Blue] vs NA 10 [Red] NA 1 [Red] vs NA 3 [Blue], NA 1 [Blue] vs NA 3 [Red]
Sunday: NA 2 [Red] vs NA 4 [Blue], NA 2 [Blue] vs NA 4 [Red] NA 5 [Red] vs NA 7 [Blue], NA 5 [Blue] vs NA 7 [Red] NA 6 [Red] vs NA 9 [Blue], NA 6 [Blue] vs NA 9 [Red] NA 8 [Red] vs NA 10 [Blue], NA 8 [Blue] vs NA 10 [Red]
(Later on in the split when the same team faces off again against each other their first game side colour will swap based on their first match up; i.e. NA 1 was Red side against NA 5 for their first game of their best of 2 so next time NA 1 goes against NA 5 their first game will be Blue side)
There are two options with 3 days and the last day for each region will be a long day OR have 4 days which makes 2 short days instead of 1 long day.
I feel this system is better than the current system since it allows teams more practice with more games without extending the length of each split, and teams can still focus on practicing for only two different teams every week. While allowing teams a way for a small series practice in adjusting their play between games of quick succession so we can have wins, losses, and ties each week with 2-0, 0-2 or 1-1 between the team's match up against that team for that week. Plus with potential ties coming in, we get a better grasp if a match up was truly close or a team's first win was more of a fluke and the team's adapting in the second game shows their true dominance.
Hope everyone here enjoys the thoughts, ideas, and efforts and have a nice day! ~ Stacona
