Thoughts on CLG vs TSM?

TSM have been looking pretty good this spring split despite the mediocre 9-9 on regular reason. CLG however went 2nd place with 14-4 (I think). They struggled against Liquid and barely made it to finals. TSM beat the best team in NA 3-0 which is super impressive, however what do you think about the finals?

Hard to say. Going by the semi's, I was initially thinking the same thing. CLG squeaks by TL while TSM dominates IMT. But looking back, TL didn't really play that badly and IMT played horribly (not to take credit away from TSM because they did execute very well today). So it's really hard to judge just by those two series.

If both teams are on top form, it's pretty much a coin toss. If we get 5 really close games, I'm a happy camper.

If Sven and Hauntzer play like they did on Sunday, TSM will win. They were absolute beasts. Hauntzer has shown flashes of that play before; although, where THAT Sven has been all split... does anyone know??

Although, I doubt CLG lets them get away with that.

TSM is the clear favourite. They have always had the talent advantage across all the rift, and if TSM can put a decent teamplay together like they have did in the playoffs so far they should be able to push their individual talent advantage into citory, as team play was what was holding them back when they were struggling

Should be a good match considering both teams are clearly willing to play tanks...

TSM should have an edge, Huhi in liquid's game kinda exploited his weakness a bit, and with TSM going back to the traditional TSM strat again I think Bjergson and Sven should have advantage over xmithe and Huhi.

Honestly, as long as Darshan is willing to play tanks, especially tanks with split push pressure like Ekko or Poppy, it'll be a tough series. I think top lane is your deciding factor in the match. Hauntzer had shown he can more impactful than Huni but I eonder is CLG will even focus on the team fights or if they'll leave Darshan to do Darshan things. If DRshan get ahead, they I think CLG will win off of the pressure he can put on the map. If Hauntzer stays even or gets ahead, I thinkhe neutralize CLGs biggest asset and give TSM the advantage.

TSM faced a IMT that did not adapt to the meta at all and did not play their best at all. I mean, Lucian top? IMT didn't respect them whereas CLG will and Huhi has performed well recently, Xmithie has found a solid jungler in Kindred and Darshan is just a beast. Aphro is a better support right now than Yellowstar. Stixxay can do amazing but he suffers from over extended in fights. Tbh it will be decided by top and jungle picks more than anything.

Sunday TSM takes it. They're just the better team than CLG if you had to be brave and pick one.

Saturday, TL is a very good team and possibly the 2nd most underrated other than TSM before the IMT series. I thought it was clear TL was the better team against CLG. If I had to bet, I'd guess IMT takes down TL if they take the week to soothe their egos and adjust at all. If in the small chance they fail that, TL is going to stomp out IMT. If TL takes game 1, they take the series.

IMT hasn't lost enough yet to be any good.

My thoughts are that it was 'setup' to have this match up again. Riot gets a lot more money from this rivalry than any other and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if IMT was paid to throw against TSM. Also, Riot needs TSM to stay relevant. If not they lose their big money maker. I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist honestly... this just seems logical to me.
