It's something I've seen multiple times in the past year. People post shit saying "Riot thinks X" or "Riot only cares about Y" and use some quote out of context as evidence.
It's buried and gone, I'm not going to spend an hour of my day digging through old posts to find one for you. Not with the search tool working the way it does currently anyway.
If you'd read the boards as often as I have in the past year then you would have seen them too.

A fairly recent example is when there was a post about anti-shield items being promised at the start of s8, but the actual quote was more along the lines of "We are looking into an anti shield item at some point during s8"

Lots of rioters do put a lot of thought/work into the changes that they work on, so having another rioter bad mouth their work could cause problems within the company. Especially if the community latches onto that comment.

I've had several ideas that I tried to bring up over the past couple weeks and none of them were responded to, despite being put in a relevant thread and in reply to a Rioter. It's frustrating sometimes and this time it got the better of me.
