Moderators don't like to let us to speak our opinion

My opinion that a certain designer of champions should be fired was removed.

Haha. Seriously, how sad.

I think his champions are bad for the game, and I think the game is better off with no more of his designs.

Apparently I am not allowed to say that.

You are not allowed to say you feel someone should be fired, no. That's an insulting and non-constructive sort of thread, and is explicitly against the Universal Rules. By all means voice your displeasure or your concerns, but do so in a manner that abides by the board rules.

but...didn't we have tons of shiposts like that ? I thought now RANT section is made for this.

Nope. It is explicitly stated in the rules for that sub-board that asking for Rioters to be fired is not permissible.

If everyone were fired on the whims of random people no one would be employed anywhere.

RANT was made to allow the venting of frustration that many players disliked seeing on Gameplay and other places, but still requires that the rules be followed for the most part.

Its a stupid rule, and it keeps people from expression how they really feel.

I DONT LIKE HIS CHAMPIONS. I THINK THEY ARE BAD FOR THE GAME. WHY should it be not allowed to suggest the game would be better off with no more of his designs?

I'm going to be blunt here: if you can't express your disagreement without calling for someone to be fired then your criticism isn't that valid. It's fine if you disagree with someone's character designs but at least put some more thought and effort into your criticism without calling for them to be fired.

Haha, says WHO? WHO says, or where in the rules of logic, does it say that if I call for someone to be fired my criticism of him is not valid. You are just making up arbitrary rules. Ridiculous.

No. Its my opinion that the game would be better if that person stopped making champions.

If you truly believe a single individual has complete control over game or champion design then you do not understand how game development works.

##Universal Boards Rules - Disrespecting or Insulting Other Community Members

Do not post content intended to insult, belittle, disrespect, or intentionally offend other community members as individuals or as groups. Criticism is an important and useful method of feedback, but must be respectful and constructive in nature.** Non-constructive forms of criticism (such as questioning another poster's intelligence or requesting the firing or removal of an individual) are violations of this rule.**

No, you aren't allowed to say that. It was made clear to you from the jump.

I dont care. Its wrong. I dont respect that persons ability to create balanced or non toxic champions. Its not meant to be insulting. Its just how I actually feel about it.

But who are we even kidding. Riot does such a poor job that they dont even read their boards because the community trashes them. And rightly so.

Okay, there are ways to discuss his work and champions without calling for him to be fired.

If you don't care, moderators will just keep removing your content and you'll be suspended from the Boards, although I'm sure you'll say you don't care about that either.

Maybe because everyone who makes a post calls for their employees to be fired or says they're a trash company? Something everyone on the Boards seems to forget is that the game is still positively received overall, meaning if you want to make a case you should probably offer some criticism that doesn't amount to "One person should be fired because I don't like what they created"

I also think you should take a good, long look at mack9112's comment, because CertainlyT is not the only person to blame. Game developers don't let one person dictate what goes into the game, playtesters and QA teams triple check these additions and gauge whether or not they would be healthy additions to the game.

You want to blame someone? Blame Riot as a whole and make a constructive post talking about your gripes with the game, because calling for one specific person to be fired does nothing but create a bandwagon of hate.

Play testers? Right. The ones who frequently miss obvious broken shit that the game has to deal with for months before Riot FINALLY fixes it after everyone yells at them for months. MONTHS.

Sorry, I have literally no faith in their designers or play testers.

Here is what I think: Riot entered the market at the right time to capitalize on MOBA popularity. Their success is largely based on that. The game itself is just a copy of DOTA. Its nothing original. Nothing in the game is especially creative. Mark Merrill if you read his old blogs, is an ego maniac who blames players for not understanding how hard it is to be so successful so fast. Poor guy. And its people like him that fostered the toxic douche bag work place that got them sued.

Riot makes EA look great.

shhhh my post got taken down because I asked for my LP back after showing actual evidence that my support was win trading and that my adc was afk but they just took my post down

Julevi3 votes

Let me guess, name-shaming the other players and/or insulting them in a way that crosses the line?

Queen Of Tears1 votes

uhm no i didnt even say the players name I litterally said that they ran it down, and told them to watch the video along with leaving a link to my op.gg so they know what game to im talking about

rujitra2 votes

So you didn't put the names here, but you linked to them? That would be why it was against the rules. You can't skirt around the rules like that.

Doesn't matter if you have "evidence", the boards are not the place to report people, start witch hunts, or anything similar.

Julevi1 votes

And which reason did the moderators include when they put down your comment/thread?

KFCeytron1 votes

Calling for someone to be fired is against the rules, and that rule has been consistently enforced for years.

DarkinPrime1 votes

That fact that this is downvoted is sad.

There is nothing, anywhere the says everyone must respect and artist or designers choices.

Many of us dont. We know their names. But we cant say it. We are the customers. The idea what you guys tell us how or what we can express about the product that we play, is utterly absurd and all of you who downvoted this should be ashamed of yourselves

rujitra2 votes

You obviously don't know, because if you did, you'd know that decisions at Riot aren't made by one person. While one person may have been the one creating the artwork or champion, they are doing it with constant feedback and direction from both colleagues and supervisors.

So trying to blame one person for something and scapegoat them? That's utterly absurd.

Criticism is fine, but scapegoating is not.

Thats cute, but there is a lead designer for a champion. Th shitty groundwork that eventually produces the shit champion comes from that person.

rujitra1 votes

Not really. You should maybe try and learn how Riot teams work. The lead designer is just the one managing it. Making sure deadlines are met, making sure meetings are on topic, etc. Decisions are made as a team.

Thats almost worse. Instead of one clear concise vision you have everyone throwing in their 2 cents.
