How I feel the boards work...(Make Comments Reddit Style)

A thread gains popularity, and as soon as the responses hit page 2, handfuls of similar threads crop up that basically act as responses to the main thread, but since you can't be front page news, it's a new thread instead. Meanwhile we bury any thread with an ounce of nuance in a shitstorm of "why was I banned" "In response to that Popular thread I was late to" and "Champ X is OP."

Can we get a reddit style vote-popularity comment section so we can freeup the boards from the scourge of "I need to be seen"
