So I had a comment deleted... for I think inference, not actuality.

The title of the topic was:

Why do people think it's cute to say gg ez at the very end?

Someone typed:

It's only funny if you say it right before you lose. Typing ggez right before they bust my nexus it the best time to say it.

I wrote:

Im not sure when it was... but somehow a younger generation just behind me somehow seriously confused acting stupid, saying stupid things, or being an idiot on purpose with being clever. I mean its like they saw some ironic humor, and just thought "well I should always constantly be ironic." Being ironic 100% of the time is moronic. (some approximation the comment was deleted, best I can remember, but thats the spirit)

First... I didnt call them stupid.

My comment obviously was a reflection on saying "gg ez" when you lose is "acting stupid, saying stupid things, or bein an idiot on purpose" being confused with being clever.

Second... Insulting an entire generation of people... If an entire generation thinks acing stupid on purpose is funny; then its not an insult, its a description.

So pointing out that someones inane attempt at ironic humor isnt funny, but just pointless and dumb may not make them feel good, but its hardly a "Fuck you your stupid" (harassment) like this deletion explanation tried to make it sound like. This was a comment directed less at that person, and more on the kind of "look at me Im so random lulz" kind of silliness that some seem to think is a profound expression of being clever.

There was a topic on a player named "I hate the Jews" and I got all manner of replies on one of my comments; people replied saying making bigoted memes and jokes about the jews was no big deal, and one guy just posted a picture of some guy with a weird face saying "triggered" and that shit flys, but saying "Some people think acting stupid is clever" no we better delete that instantly.

Priorities and politics I guess. There was a television show called Jackass... If I described it as a group of people acting like idiots and clowns to get attention and make people laugh. Its like The Three Stooges, but the comic violence and slapstick is replaced with self injury, and more extreme forms of comic violence bordering on dangerous. Should that description be deleted too? No, its a discription, Im not calling them idiots and clowns either, they were acting that way... they are successful television personalites and choose to act like idiots.

I see all manner of offensive comments I report and they stay up, so what is the condition for deletion? If it would offend the mod if were a comment on their post, or do I need like 2-5 alternate accounts to sign into and report the comments so it flags faster?
