Why were comments switched to a serial view in every board?

{quoted}

Its chronological by default for me, unless youre in GD, where its locked in serial

I can't seem to get the old nested view back, which is making it really hard to tell who is replying to whom. How am I supposed to follow a conversation through a post's comment section if I can't tell which comments are replying to which other comments?

Thank you!
