Thread taken down for false reasons

Recently I posted a thread specifically listing things to do if you're angry that don't break any rules, so people can vent their frustration without getting punished.

And while I specifically stated in the thread that it was to prevent people from breaking the rules, it was taken down under the premise that I was encouraging people to break the rules. And that's just ridiculous.

You just can't stretch the rules to cover everything that makes the game less enjoyable for other people, otherwise it's against the rules to suck, it's against the rules to first time a difficult champion, it's against the rules to play Fizz, Zed, and Yasuo, and it's against the rules to attempt to win since it worsens the experience for every enemy player you ever encounter.

That just isn't reasonable. You cannot stretch the rules to cover complimenting players, refusing to surrender when you want to continue (regardless of your reasoning for wanting to), or using emotes that Riot specifically designed to be annoying as hell to see. That's wholly ridiculous.

The things you listed may not be punishable, but they can still lead to a negative experience in game. In particular:

*4. Say really nice things about the player. You know you're being sarcastic, but Riot can't punish you for compliments. If they somehow assume you're being sarcastic, it's a false ban and they're admitting that your ally actually didn't do anything worthy of praise. Do note that you do have to phrase it like a genuine compliment though.

*6. Queue up with at least one friend. Whether that friend is just someone who refuses to surrender all the time or just agrees with you whenever, you can always lock out a surrender vote to prevent the feeder from getting to play another game for a while.

Both of these lean more towards worsening others' game experience rather than avoiding punishment.
