Should I play the role I'm best at?

It has came to my attention, not only with this account, but with a smurf, that top lane is my best role. But, Ive been trying to main adc for 2 seasons now. I mean, I enjoy top lane, but its hard to want to swap to it completely, but there is no denying that is the role I will excel the most with. I got a smurf a whole tier higher than this account just playing stuff like mundo/malphite/nasus.

I really enjoy playing ADC, but I lose so many more games. I dont think I'm that bad at ADC; I just dont seem to have the same kind of impact on a game I typically do playing top lane.

Its hard to just give up on ADC after trying to main it since the end of season 2.

Anyone else struggle with this kind of thing? You are really good at another role but want to main a different one?

Depends, what do you find yourself having more fun playing?

I want to main jungle, but I do better top lane. I feel like when I am jungling my performance relies way too much on being able to communicate with the midlaner. It feels like most mids I play with just want to kill the enemy laner and ignore the rest of the game though. So when deciding what to play each game I just go with which I feel better about in particular. If I am on a hot streak I'll jungle as I have more fun there, but if I start doing poorly I will fall back on top laning.

Early last season I tried to main top/bot lanes based off of counters but typically went jungle when saddled with the first pick, and as a result jungle is by far my best lane now. If you're playing ranked, go with what will give your team the best chance to win.

Think of this as real life. If there is something you like to do in life, then it is your best option to pursue a career within that path. Sure, it may not pay as much as what many people are doing, but if you are enjoying what you do with passion, then it completely overrides the fact that there may not be as much physical rewards. Thus, your enjoyment of life is what matters.

This applies in League as well. If you really love a role, and you enjoy that role, play it and have as much fun as you can. Sure, you may not win as many games for a short while, but as long as you are having fun, you will feel rewarded just for playing that role you enjoy!

Well dude if u are really good top play it in ranked when u do but during normals play other roles to improve and eventually you can play better with them that is what I found most useful to me because i main top

Just play what you're best at in Ranked, don't be like "ay boyz I main top but I wanna try ADC out." That's acceptable in normals, but not in ranked, most of the time.
