New ekko player,ekko advice

Hey guys ,im a new ekko midlaner Hes really fun to play im thinking about maining him.My previous main was katarina and its a bit difficult to adapt to ekko.Do you guys have any tips/tricks/combos for me ?

especially on when and where to cast my W ,and how to get better at using my ultimate and in what sitautions i should use it (: Im using the following build and a if im lucky any tips? ive heard the lich bane is great on ekko and some people told me to use athenes unholy grail So ludens vs lich bane ? and ive also heard about using the rod of ages there are so many different build options ,so any ekko mains i would love your oponions thx in Advance bros (:

Ok when I play ekko, my build order is : item 3165 > item 3285 > item 3100 > item 3157 > item 3089 item 3135 I sell my sorcerers boots for void staff late game, and you can get a rod of ages if you prefer being a bit more durable.

Some basic combos you can do are :

E>Q>Autoattack. This will proc your passive, and you can't miss your Q at point blank range. This combo is basically untradeable as you will run out pretty fast and the enemy will be slowed
To use your W, hide behind a wall, or in a bush, use your W at maximum distance, e in onto them and hopefully if you positioned it right, it will stun them. The cast time on W will get some getting used to, but eventually you'll get the hang of it
If you're being chased, and have your ult up, throw your Q behind you, and when they are near your ult clone, use your ult, and you will proc your passive from your Q + Ult, while doing tons of damage

I don't main ekko, but I've played him a bit, so these are just some tips that I can give

Thx alot for the advice (: ,ive found rushing the item 3165 first is very good on him ,and is there any particular reason why zhonyas before rabadon?
