Cho should be included in the list for Riven. Basically, anyone with a reliable silence that can stop her combo for a moment can trade and back off, leaving Riven losing the trade because 3/4 of her damage was blocked in that period. I've fought Riven with various matchups and setups, started with frustration then I realized she shares the weakness of every hit-and-run traders in top lane i.e.

who win trades by unloading a quick burst that's followed by a cc and/or a gap creator.
This way of functioning essentially gives them no counterplay from the enemy laner because in the time they're cc'd, the Riven/Renek/Jayce would've created a distance between them to safety (and that's after they've unloaded their burst on the enemy laner). Of course this is skill dependent on both sides, but on an average play level, there is pretty much no counterplay as long as they can land some rather easy to land skillshots on the enemy laner.
How this playstyle is countered in terms of champions, is relying on the fact that these skills are unleashed in a quick combo, which is why silences REALLY screw them up. They unload part of their damage, but can't finish the combo (including the cc/disengage) and that allows for retaliation by the enemy laner.
Or, another way is a hard engager that can reengage right after being cc'd, like
and
, where after taking
's full combo, can reengage and pump out even more damage to her, all while her stuff is on cooldown. You back off after doing 1/4 of my hp? I'ma pull you back and do 100% of your HP.
