To all supports who sucks in warding, or can't even support

Here are your key points to ward them if your team is ahead:

  1. Dragon river
  2. Baron river
  3. Any bush in enemy's jungle

And these is where you ward them necessarily if your enemy has the advantage:

  1. 2 wards at one side of your jungle
  2. 1 in your other jungle
  3. 1 at dragon or baron river if you think it's safe enough to travel

For pink wards, these are the safest place:

  1. If blue side(top right I think), place at the outermost bush to dragon river, which is between the mid lane & the blue camp.
  2. If purple side(bottom left I think, messed up with these colours), place at the outermost bush to baron river, which is between mid lane & blue camp.

Never use your wards in:

  1. The bush beside a lane. Seriously, just throw a totem or skillshot instead of wasting a slot in your sightstone or 75g.
  2. 2 wards for 2 bushes in red camps. Don't do this. Also waste slots. Do it if it is an emergency, or just throw a totem.
  3. A pink in the mid bush of both baron/drag rivers. High chance of having it dead sooner than a minute.
  4. 2 wards for 2 bushes at bot lane. Okay to place one, but a waste to throw 2 in. Again, just throw a totem, or ask your goddamn ADC to throw one in himself.

Tips for supports with various support champs:

  1. Blitzcrank- land a pull, then use E. After 6, use the same moves then ult.
  2. Thresh- Land a pull, double Q to fly to them if you think it's safe enough, use E TO me. Pull an ADC instead of a tank to be safer. After 6, use same moves then ult if necessary.
  3. Braum- Throw your Q one time after another. Your ADC will pick one Q to commit for a stun, or possibly a kill. If enemy bot commits, use E to negate most damage to ensure your ADC's safety.
  4. Soraka- Send out Q sometime to poke enemy off and heal yourself. Only heal your carry if you carried some pots or think you have sufficient health.
  5. Nidalee- Get out of League.

Compulsory for supports:

  1. Buy a sightstone.
  2. Look at (1).
  3. No seriously, look at the goddamn (1).
  4. I don't care if you go Yasuo or Riven support, or even Master Yi support, just look at the f*cking (1).
  5. If your team is losing, and you still go full-retard by going AP Blitzcrank and then ask "where the hell did that fking GP come from??" when you're dead, just fix your stupid eyes on (1). If not, I'll report you for being stupid.
  6. I'll honor you if you purchase Ruby sightstone, even it is unnecessary.
  7. Upgrade your totem after you have most of your needed items, like Sightstone, Zhonyas. Gauntlet, etc.
  8. Well that's all, but still, look at the fking (1).

This seems a little archaic. Wards are EVERYONE's responsibility these days. Seriously, whatever lane you are in, when you go back to base buy a few wards. It takes more than the 3 wards of one person to get adequate vision going.

How about the non-supports that just stand there and let the enemy kill your freshly placed Pink? That's 30g for them and -100g for your team plus a gap in vision allowing for getting easily ganked and counter-jungled. Is it just Silver and lower who don't care if Supports gold and efforts are wasted, or do they not care in Gold+ either?

When I have three wards down as a support and my team only has three wards down it is just a sad..................

Sightstone is not cost efficient. Save 950g per game and you'll win more due to power increase even though you lack vision.

I don't really like how the OP put this. Where you ward is based on objectives, just saying it's based on winning or losing is incredibly simplistic. If you're talking about basic advice for new players, a helpful thing you can say is for them to immediately change their trinket to a sweeper when they buy sightstone, which I constantly see people in bronze or silver forget to do, and learn the normal places where they can sweep wards.

Ward locations should be based on where your team needs to go, and where the enemy team is likely to go. For example, if your team is winning, you've seen 4 of the enemy team bottom, and your team wants to take the one remaining inner turret bottom, your team does not need baron to be warded. It needs wards all throughout the bottom side of the map so it can see every brush the enemy team walks through trying to defend the inner turret, which makes it extremely hard to defend.
