I report anyone who uses the referrence "gg ez", be it either ally or enemy

I just hate seeing these words in any games I played. Today, the enemy ADC afked just because we killed her once, so it's a complete 5v4. After we finished the game, one of my teammates, Jax, proceeded to constantly chat "gg ez" like about 2 to 3 times, once in-game & other after-match lobby. After I reported the enemy Jinx for AFK, I rushed to report our Jax for Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

Well, if you were the one saying those words, then I guess me reporting you & caused you to take a temporary suspension/permaban shouldn't affect you as well.

EDIT: To all the commenters who thinks that it's our fault, and that we should man up, or ignore the fact that it's just 4 letters through an online chat, and thus should not be reportable at all. Welp, you're wrong.

I went to reconfirm with Riot Support, and got this:

Even Riot also approves it's a reportable fact.

So I don't care if you're trying to be Mr. Muscle Man or whatever, that's your own thing. If you're so macho, then I guess you have the courage enough to receive a suspension/banned/chat restriction for yourself. Do note that you're still playing on Riot's rules.

How would you feel if you did your best to win the game but for x reason you lose (even if you did better than the enemy team) but then a douchebag that did about nothing in that match (let's name it the enemy jinx who is 2/11/13) says after the match "gg ez".

I don't let it get to me. In the event that it does get to me, I realize I need to take a cooldown, because something else is getting me riled up, to make something as minor as "gg ez" be over the top for me. I take a cooldown of 10-20+ minutes, or sometimes I will get offline for a bit and go do something else relaxing. If I feel relaxed and excited to play again after the cooldown, then I get in another game. If I am still thinking about it at the back of my mind, I will do something else until I forget about it. Bam, never tilt.

It has nothing to do with "the toughest thing life has thrown at them". You can't justify being rude for no reason to someone just because some things are worse. I can't punch someone in the face because "well, you have a terminal disease, so this must mean nothing to you" [This is an intended exageration, before someone get triggered].

What's your reason to say "easy" at the end of the game aside from offending someone? Does it makes you feel better to attack someone for no reason? If it does, then it says nothing good about you.

tl;dr: "gg ez" is a little stupid thing, but that does not justify it.

Actually most of the people here aren't sportsmen/sportswomen, they're just playing a game casually for fun. The actual eSports players act even worse, so it's perfectly in line with sportsman-like behavior to talk trash or taunt opponents. It has always been for 20+ years since the first competitive PC games hit the market.

Sportsmanship has nothing to do with the actual behavior of sportsmen; instead it refers to the ethical standards that they are expected to reach. Just because one word derives from the other one it does not force its meaning.

that is pretty much the only time i find it ok, if your team lost 62-3 and your score is 0/15/2 then i actually do find it pretty humorous to say "gg ez" in this situation, but once it is used in an inappropriate context (eg- rubbing salt in the wounds of your opponents) then i have a problem with it

gg ez is a phrase that can srsly rub salt into your wounds when someone uses it after a game you lost. it sucks because theyre pretty much talking down on you and its frustrating because you know you can play the game and when an opponent says that playing against you gave them an easy win its jsut offending and unsportsmanlike. on a team based game there should be sportsmanlike qualities and no one should really be condescending on another.

I'll admit, if you know what the League community's like, you should know that it's not really meant for 'unwinding' like other games, but it really shouldn't be that way. Why is this community so toxic and rude compared to the playerbases of other games?

Because it is a competitive game, even when it is not ranked. You play to win, there will always be a loser and said loser are almost always poor sports. How many games at the end or some point you hear ''Report X for Y and Z''? Its almost every damn game I've played. So Riot has enabled sore losers with an easy report system and sides with these pathetic people. There is your answer.

The person felt the game was easy...it is not a direct insult at YOU in anyways, they didnt type hey you player 4 you sucked and are bad so we won easy. A game can be easy for MANY reasons stop taking liberty with peoples words asshat. GG EZ isnt even an insult until you wierdo momma boys participation trophy wankers make it one. Means nothing more than the game which is an actual quantifiable measurable fact. first of all, i'd like to present Exhibit A for toxic behavior in League of Legends

second, your logic is garbage. do you really think that someone saying "gg ez" is trying to say "i couldn't help but notice that game lacked difficulty to win". even if you are saying it with that intention it's irrelevant because harassment is harassment one way or another, and its also still unsportsmanlike conduct. the only way you can seriously deny that is if you're either unbelievably dense or unbelievably toxic in your personality.

That would be hate speech and offensive language, which is a different offense which is also reportable. If you followed them around and continued it, then it would be hate speech, offensive language and harassment and you'd check both boxes in your report.

Also your comparison sucks. It's like people talking about stealing a french fries from McDonalds (real world equivalent of saying gg ez) and you said 'what if someone murdered someone. so you don't think murder is considered stealing?'

actually my comparison works perfectly to what you said. you said it's not harassment unless someone is singled out and repeatedly bothered. my example was someone harassing a group of people a single time. you didnt answer my question either. regardless of whether or not it has other aspects to it, is that not harassment? any sort of physical, sexual, or verbal abuse is considered harassment.

I answered your question. A one-time offense isn't harassment (though you are singling out a group by race, which counts as singling someone out) but it is hate speech which is also an offense, but a different one. If you continued it, then it would be both hate speech and harassment. Murder isn't considered stealing, but it's another crime. But if you robbed someone and killed them, it would be both murder and stealing.

Also getting up to someone and punching them in the face is physical abuse but not harassment. Yet another different category of offense.

I only do it if we lose in a heavy stomp and my opponents seem pretty chill

In that case, I use "gg ez" in a comical way, so I suppose it doesn't really fit with your scenario. xD

i thought i was the only one who did this xD i always report bm players who said gg ez too. i had this teammate who was playing Rengar and went 14/7 and he seemed cool and everything until at the end of the game when an opponent allchatted ''ggwp friends'' and rengar replied saying ''gg ez'' i was like....... why? :( we were all having fun till he ruined it.... i honored the enemy team and reported him for unsportsmanlike conduct
