A tip for new players to avoid raging smurfs

Play bots games till around level 10. I've been seeing a lot of posts about how bad the new players experience is, and it always confused me because I never had that issue (I started towards the beginning of S4.) But if you play against bots, first of all, there is less toxicity. Not getting raged at constantly really helps for the learning experience. Second, if you are up against bots, you are probably going to be winning a lot, if not all of your games. This gives you a confidence boost as well when you are playing, which in turn makes you better. Now that doesn't mean you can't play pvp at all, ( I played pvp with my friends when they were online) but playing lots of bots games is what helped me in the LoL experience.

Good advice. I was sorta worried about my friends who want to start playing, and I felt bad for one of them that I took into PvP. I think they wouldn't care so much if it was bots or PvP, so I guess bots would be best.

I agree though, it seriously is a big confidence boost. The downside is just that bots can promote bad habits and whatnot.

honestly i think that is good advice in theory but not in practice. people who play bot games that long dont see any of the real tecniques tahyt people use and dont have a clue what they are up for when they drop the bot games. also they need to learn to deal with people being bitchy rude for no reason because it happens whether you are a noob or been playing for years. i think people should play bot for maybe until level 3 to getg a handle on basic gameplay then play pvp to learn real tactics and learn from more experienced players as well. just my opinion though.
