How does Rumble's Heat mechanic work?

I know that when your heat bar is yellow you get bonus stats to your basic abilities, but what I don't know is when those stats kick in.

For example, if I do QEW right off the bat, the bar goes yellow. Do I get the extra move speed because W pushed the bar into the yellow? Or does the bar need to be yellow when I cast the ability to get the bonus? What about if the bar turns yellow while an ability is going, like Q or in between E's?

Basically, the enhanced effect only occurs if the ability was cast when the bar was already in the danger zone. It won't retroactively buff up an ability that was cast below the danger zone once the bar rises above 50.

If you cast QWE and got up into the danger zone from 0 heat, none of them would have the danger zone buff, even though you would have 60 heat once they were all done casting, because when you cast the last one you only had 40 heat on cast. If you started at 10 heat and cast all three, the last on cast would have the danger zone effect since the first 2 would bring you up to 50.

At least visually if you use your flamespitter and it puts you into the danger zone, you still have the flames from when not in it (danger zone flames are redder). So presumably you have to be in the danger zone for using abilities to have the bonus.

50heat and above is danger zone. meaning things like +50% dmg on E and Q. After a couple seconds the heat starts to fade by 5-5-5-5-10-10 and onward.
This should help, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3bmatXt6ds basically all you need to know about rumble imo
