how to lane against lux?

so i struggle against lux in lane she has long range spells tons of cc and zoning ability plus a nuke on her ult and an aa modifier on her passive. usually the only way i have success is to take allot of pots and wait for her to run out of mana then try and all in her for a kill and hope i can do that 2 or 3 times before she gets a mana item (this only works against luxs that have bad mana management)

so whats the counter play against a lux how do you play against her or is she supposed to be a lane bully.

There are 2 types of lux players; those that cast spells in a rapid fire motion in lane, and those that are actually smart enough to conserve their mana and spells for when you make a mistake.
The first is dealt with by simply playing mind games, or basically walking in a zig-zag to dodge spells. Don't stand by minions because she will W the wave to cs and hit you at the same time. They will run out of mana quickly, and will push the wave doing so, leaving them open to ganks(esp since they will likely be spamming Q as well.)

The second is a bit more tough, as this is a lux that knows how to actually play properly. Try not to allow her to push you into the turret because it makes it really easy for her to poke you. If you slightly push lux in, she has to cast spells to push the wave back and farm instead of using them to poke. This is a lane that you have to be good at farming in, so that you can outscale her.

Personally in my Vs Lux matchups I just go hard aggresive until 6 and dodge the stun. She has no damage without items. First blood is faceroll vs lux.

Against Lux, it is important to take someone with a dash, or someone that can farm from range safely. Diana is a good one cause she can do both and has a shield for when you have to get close.

Pro Tip -- If you Dash to a champion and that champion is standing still (i.e. Lux ulting), you will always be put behind the champion. I have made sooo many Lux's cry as Diana by just dashing to them when the ult and dodging everything.

As someone who plays lane the one thing Lux hates is when you get right in her face. Anyone with a gap closer gives her trouble. Dodge the Q if you can and when its on CD jump on her face. If she only uses E to damage you she will eventually go out of mana. If she uses E and tries to proc her passive jump on her face. If you're point blank and she tries to laser you flash behind her. CCing her mid laser will not interrupt her laser. The only CC that stops that laser is death.

When i used to play kata alot (ik sorry lol) I rarely had a hard time against her. Just start out with boots and if you're decent you'll be able to dodge most. I skill and max q first and try to harras her down till im 6 and kick her ass. I skill e 2nd so as soon as she hits lvl 2 I can either dash out her skillshots or dash to her and damage her some more.

i find that lux usually aims e behind you

so if you want to be risky walk towards her when she uses e, but get ready to dodge q

assasins are very good against lux, or champions with equal range (xerath, ziggs)

try picking talon and blinking behind her when she uses an ability.

Push hard. Her waveclear is less than stellar and costs a lot of mana. Once she's oom, then you can actually concentrate on taking her down.
