I want to get a support, but one that can go in other lanes as well.
My choices are either Zyra or Leona.
What is your opinion on who I should get based on their abilities and what works better in the current meta?

Zyra can go mid too and is a pain in the gluteus maximus.
I've just seen one Leona top who went full AP (magelike because yolo). He didn't perform well. I don't know if a Tank/AP build would work.
If you don't have to unlock them you can try it.
From a strictly support perspective, there is no better support besides Leona at the moment.
Proper use of her kit will peel harder than any other champion in the game and still allow her to be right in the front line tanking for a team, her kit when used offensively is a complete monster and her defensive peels are second to non.
there is no choice here because zyra has nothing on leona
if you really want a champ that can go to different lanes its zyra more than leona
zyra has some pretty out rageous damage thoughout the whole game if shes full ap where with leona she more or less has to rely on her teamamtes to do the damage while she locks them down it would take alot more for leona to get her items to have the damage that some other top laners have as base damage like Maoakia or Renekton

Leona all the way. Her combos through CC lock is just godlike for teamfights. She is such a great tank and makes aggressive play all the more pleasing and viable. As a support main I wouldn't touch Zyra atm. While she can have some of the higher damage especially with an AP build she lacks the overall aggressive play that Leona has and a decent bot lane wouldn't fall pray to her. There is a reason that many players don't go zyra atm and Leona is in the top 5.
If you are looking for versatility though Zyra is the better pick. Zyra can go to other lanes while Leona is pretty much stuck to the bot lane.
Don't listen to people that say Leona is reliant on her teammates because her damage is actually very high and I get a lot of FB with the early strength leona has. While Zyra's late game is better in terms of damage, Leona is much better in terms of CC and peel while still dealing good damage in conjuncture with her Passive she deals a lot of damage for a tank
I would go for

Both supports are extreemly different:
is more of a poke/burst style of champion. She has crazy carry potentional but her skillcap is hugh. Additionaly their is a hugh differents in playstyle between midlane & support. I'm not sure it's worth to master Zyra. is more off a aggressive/tanky style of champion. It's a really solid support with good damage and probaly one of the most used supports to get yourself into a higher bracket.If you want support that also perform in other lanes. Try
