Trouble with winning lane and farming (it's kind of weird).

So I usually do well in my lane. Sometimes I have a difficult time and I understand that and I do my best to farm and wait it out for the later game. However, there are some situations that I am confused about.

1st would be an enemy that is so aggressive that we both lose significant amounts of farm for it. I usually play Orianna. I recently played against a Yasuo and every time we "traded" he would pretty much all in me. I was actually holding my own and was able to bring him to low health also and survive his all in. I felt like I was doing alright, but he has no resource and can farm super easily so he really didn't lose much. What exactly was I supposed to do? Should I be ashamed of a lower creep score if my lane is a little harder? Or if I am not "supposed" to win or accel in my lane? One more thing I'd like to add is I don't usually ask junglers for help because I like to win my lane on my own and I don't like the idea of blaming jungler or harassing them or bothering them. I just hope they see and come to gank when they are pushed...Ironically they never come. Ever. Go figure.

My next issue is after I have a troubled lane, late game I can't seem to get ANY farm. I can't safely be in a lane on my own without my team losing else where on the map and I can never beat my teammates in a race to a creep wave. My teammates are essentially so selfish with farm that it is even more difficult for me to catch up. Even when i politely ask they ignore me and continue to let me be a burden to the team rather than let me catch up so I can better help. What do I do in that situation? A situation where my teammates beat me to lanes with farm in them, are farming my lane before me, and I can't safely stay in a lane alone. They basically deny me farm...it feels like I just sit around and wait for us to lose the game...They are so selfish and inconsiderate. Jungles are big culprits early on too when I am in a struggling lane, instead of letting me get the biggest advantage I can, they lane tax me....

Like this shit sucks....

I play fast champs for dat global pressure, so I cant relate ;l

  • being passive has always worked for me, in countering aggressive laners

  • really champ depedent.. if ur mundo or nasus or garen or wutever, they should have zero opportunities to go in on you

  • either let them push and farm under turret

  • or push to their turret and back off, repush and back off.. repeat

  • buy wards and farm the jungle

  • map awareness, keep track of where enemy winion waves are and be nearby

  • im just saiyan, if they can reach the wave before you they are doing something right while you arent.. or they were closer/ faster moving champs and tehres really no way around it in that case

  • dude wtf, oriana has infinite scaling utility, dafuq are you catching up for?

As a passive Mid lane player I understand the feels of this post. There are those players who are so over aggressive they make it extremely hard to comfortably scale and cs into mid to late game. Ive come to learn, especially in terms of Orianna , that the best way to beat this type of play is to punish them for their all-ins. For instance using your ball to zone out a Yasuo and hit him for some damage before he moves in can sometimes deter him from trying at all especially if your under turret. If you level dissonance first for maximum damage it can be a really strong deterrent. Also consider a first item item 3157. when the Yasuo ults and then tries to clean you up under a tower that item 3157 plus an summoner 14 can kill or back him off very quickly. it also allows you to pull your shield up before he lands a final hit possibly saving your life or again killing him.

As far as cs is concerned your best bet is to just clear wraiths and wolves when they are available and take any open lanes when there are no objectives or team fights going down. If that isnt an option just land some beautiful ults and hope your team is strong enough to carry. Just remember you're not going to win every game and sometimes you are going to lose lane HARD. Communicate your needs with your junglers even if they are, "too busy" and focus on being a stronger and more valuable team member and player every single game. Hopefully you can pull out some wins by putting more faith in your teammates and becoming a better player yourself.

I'm a pretty decent Orianna Id love to play some games with you sometime and maybe we could 1v1 and learn a few things from each other. :D feel free to add me. SikPlayz is my IGN

Get a Crystaline's Flask, it'll help out and act as a "substitute" HP/MP pot once you've used the regular HP/MP pots.

A tip for you: Never EVER! In your league times, ever say to your teammates or in all chat:

"I won mid lane lol, you guys are noob top and bottom." Because it'll make you the worst, terrible, person ever.

In a situation where your team does not help you, just, ignore them. If they come from bot lane early game, just let them take your cs, but still contest for your lane cs, usually its meaning is: "Let's get mid turret."

If at late game they're taking your CS, go and do jungle, if the jungler pings back off from the monsters, go to some other lanes and farm some CS.

Tips against Yasuo:

You're ball and your basic attacks are on a total different level. Whether Yasuo harasses you or not, you can actually deal damage even if he wind walls.

Harass Yasuo from the sides by letting your ball be on the sides of him, if he happens to wind wall your basic attacks, you can Command: Attack and Command: Dissonance from the sides on him, if he wind walls your ball, your ball will automatically return to you, make sure to Command: Protect yourself if he comes after you. If he Wind walls your ball instead of your basic attacks, harass him with your basic attacks, remember, Orianna's passive deals more damage the more times you hit them with your basic attacks.
