Need some urgent help. About to just snap and leave the game.

Hello LoL community,

First I want to put a little disclaimer. I know I'm not challenger material yet. Nor am I diamond, neither plat. I do not think I am the next LCS all star player like many bronze/silvers think they are. It may sound like I think I am but right now I'm extremely frustrated and extremely tilted. So excuse my tone.

Alright with that out of the way, I need some help. I was Gold V last season. Was pretty proud of myself since I achieved my goal. This season though I'm aiming at becoming Platinum or higher. I have one tiny problem though.... Silver is keeping me down there. Here's my match history :http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/NA1/49631664

Notice how it's mostly red? Although I'm not doing bad in my opinion. I don't flame, I try to lead my team, I focus on getting objectives rather than kill and I'm farming pretty well for Silver. I group up with my team, I ward when I think about it but it all seems to be in vain. For every time I'm doing well, I have 2-4 teammates doing horrible. I am now so paranoid that I don't even know where to go to carry games. As a jungle/ADC main, whenever I jungle, my bot lane seems to be awful and whenever I ADC my junglers seem to be awful.

I need help. I am confused as to how to carry games as being a supportive play style doesn't seem to benefit my teams, playing aggressive and actively shoving lanes down the enemy team's brain just makes my team engage 4v5 for some reason. I don't want to blame my teammates because it's Silver, they don't know any better.

So I am kindly asking for advice, tips, tricks, champion recommendations, a duo partner, a possible coach even, LITERALLY ANYTHING. I am lost in what looks pretty much like an elo hell but I know it's not real. I'm missing a piece of the enigma on how to win games reliably and I can't find it. Please help me.

Thanks in advance to anyone taking time to assist me.

PS. Ignore the Nautilus support game. That game was just so bad, the enemy team were getting 1+ kill every minute so I just snapped and gave up with the rough time I was having.

You're overthinking it. The game is pretty simple. Don't concern yourself with "carrying" or any of that nonsense. You generally play worse when you feel you "need" to make some crazy plays out of thin air in order to win. Take your time and do whatever best suits the situation.

With 5 people on your team each game, chances are someone's gonna do badly most games. Sometimes you'll have difficult games where all your teammates do badly. Sometimes you'll have easy games where they all do well. Sometimes you'll have close games where anyone could have won. You won't ever win every game, but if you consistently perform better than the people you are placed with, your rank WILL go up.

Here's my solution:

Don't play ranked. People are more toxic in ranked because they feel like something is on the line (their LP) and are thus more prone to rage when they feel they might lose it. Ranked also attracts more trolls, because said trolls know that people playing ranked will be more likely to get frustrated by their trolling antics.

Then there's the Elo system. While it is applicable to your overall skill from a statistical standpoint, the fact that it was designed to rank chess players (which is NOT a team-based game) makes it all the more bitter when your rank drops even though you personally performed well. Over the course of several hundred games, the games you lose because of bad teammates will even out (thanks to the games you WIN due to bad opponents), but that doesn't stop the frustration from the former.

I get that some people dig the competitive bragging rights of ranked play, but if your rank really gives you enough grief that you feel the need to post about it here, I'd venture a guess that you'd have a lot more fun with League if you just played normal matches with friends instead.

Udyr/Nasus top. Farm yourself. Push top while your teammates hold the fort. Back door like crazy. The only other way to win if you can't carry your team and your team is bad is to back door.

You aren't even doing that badly. I lost like 7 ranked games in a row and I still kicked myself in the ass and re-obtained G2. Won my promos like a pro with 2-0.

Here is a link to a youtube video of a LCS player coaching someone in Diamond (known as Azoh) on how to mid as Orianna. Though mid might not be your role, there is a lot you can learn from the video. It is rather long but well worth the watch.
