Low elo ranked play is the worst environment ever

I don't pretend I'm good at this game but I played enough to know what works and what doesn't and to spot out a few of my own mistakes.

Although this doesn't see to be enough to climb the lower elo brackets. Between ragers coming right off from champ select, people picking troll picks as Brand Jungle and players just being bad on purpose, there's barely any room to climb. Now I know SoloQ is supposed to be grinded out and learning but it doesn't feel that way. It feels more and more like a lottery. You either get a team that know their champions and know what they're doing or you get feeders, trolls and people still way too early in the learning process. To add on top of it you often get other toxic players just yelling at everyone or people just being oversensitive from the comment "shouldn't of TP'd there". Like how is one supposed to make his place there and climb without being a pub stomper champion like Katarina Riven Leblanc Akali .

I don't play these champions but I don't want to rely on picking something that just deletes everyone by rolling my face on the keyboard. SoloQ is just a lottery in low elo. All about who drew the biggest feeder/ragers or w/e other thing can bring his entire team down.

I don't feel rewarded for playing well and just stomping on a team having problematic players and it surely doesn't feel good getting curb stomped because you got stuck with the short end of the stick.

Elo hell is where the heart is.

And, yes, it does feel like a lottery a lot of the time, but there's really nothing you can do about it but focus on your own play.

Maybe you should play them, whatever gets you ahead. Low Elo is where you need to pub stomp and carry the team.

If not, just do what you do and play what you want. As long as you dont care about getting the Gold End of Season rewards than there should be no reason for you to rage. Play ranked for fun and improve yourself against those pub stomp champs.

Try and pick early game stompy champions. Get ahead and then share your power with your team and get them ahead if possible. You can mostly do this from jungling but mid is also good too.

You used the analogy of a lottery, so to win, you have to rig it. If luck is the only thing determining if your teammates know what they're doing, then all you have to do is make sure YOU know what you're doing. That immediately gives your team an advantage as now it's down to luck, and you only have to worry about 4 people doing bad on your team, where 5 people could be bad on theirs. If you're worried about feeders/ragers/trolls, don't encourage that type of behavior, and communicate in champ select and in game. Sorry I can't give more advice about that :/

and to spot out a few of my own mistakes.

I've been taking notes on my games all season. I reached Silver V at the end of the season last year, but got placed in Bronze IV this season after my provisionals.

51 games later I am currently in my promos for Silver V. I have notes from every single game detailing my mistakes, including the games I won. I make multiple mistakes every game and am actively working on reducing them. Keep improving and you'll move up.
