pick and bans for low elo

hi im in bronze and i have a request for anybody who is in the position to ban. please stop banning super random(Heimerdinger, Shen) or rare (Azir)picks, and also stop banning LCS meta picks(Gnar Corki ). Please realize that finding people who play these champs, let alone well, is rare and you're wasting your ban. However banning really powerful and really mobile or easy to play champs is a much better idea.

My suggestions: Blitzcrank : if you dont know why then you've never played against one, so here's the low down. this guy makes bot lane a nightmare, this guy makes seiging a nightmare, this guy makes drag fights a nightmare(you see where im goin with this). his grab is such a potent tool that hes not worth risking.

Nasus : this guys is a horror if you let him get farm(and everybody does) it takes 3 ppl to kill him late game and your energy is better spent elsewhere.

Ahri : if the person playing this champ has all of their fingers then you might be in trouble

Akali :weaker now than she used to be but can still snowball outta control.

Katarina : the terror of lower elos, you have been warned

Vi : high mobility and lotsa damage, leave her open at your own risk

Quinn : honestly i dont know why but everybody who plays her goes ham and cheese and ends up rofl stomping. i dont even understand

Now these are just a few examples of good low elo bans; my general rule for bans is: blitz, nasus, any mid assassin or any oppressive jg, then just anything you might be extra bad against thats pretty common.

good luck and please ban smart, for all our sakes

Blitzcrank Fiddlesticks Thresh LeeSin Udyr Nidalee Leblanc Shaco

For the following reasons:

  • Lack of vision is a major reason why they succeed.
  • They can snowball with even the slightest lead.
  • They're usually focused in vain and are still huge threats if ignored.
  • Their tools can easily be misused and that one guy on your team can ruin everything.

I always ban Blitz.

People always say 'you just can't dodge his pull durr!'

As a support main, even if we win bot lane, all it takes is one pull from Blitz in the mid/late game and there goes your teamfight. So uh, tell me again who can't dodge pulls?...

http://www.lolking.net/charts?region=na&type=champion-winrate&range=weekly&map=sr&queue=1x1&league=bronze

I usually try to stay familiar with what is popular and winning. The best way i found to do this was lolking.com under their "charts" tab at the top. from there just enter in the info (highest win rate or champion bans for instance in the location you are in) and see what seems to be going good.

Hope this helped

kat, vi, ahri, and akali aren't just good for bronze, they are ban in about every tier. I do like your point though.

normal draft bans right now it's Bard [3rd pick - me support! 1st pick bans bard 3rd pick: now me not support] Kassadin [unless you want a feeder at mid or top kassadin if you pick mid yourself (happened to me) or something] and Akali or Mordekaiser [unless you want to have a support akali (already saw one) or support mordekaizer of course]

Typically I banned champions who are super easy to punish mistakes and snowball super hard off bad plays.

MasterYi is an example.

Or champions that bronze players for the life of them can't play against... Blitzcrank is an example.
