Looking for advice with Diana Jungle

Since Riot seems determined to ignore Elise's problems, I've decided to look into getting a new AP jungler. Sejuani just got a lot of love, but I've heard Diana is secretly really good, so I wanted to try her out first. Does anybody have any advice for her and what to do with her?

Unless she got buffed recently (not sure, since I haven't been paying attention as much as I should) I don't think she's secretly powerful. Before the jungle changes, she was already in a tough spot, not doing anything others couldn't do better. I can't see how the changes would make her more powerful considering her lack of much sustain. The shield might help, but I don't think it would help very much, if at all. I might try her out again, I would love to go back to her as my main pick in jungle.

But anyway, to jungle with Diana is to farm until level 6. Her ganks are sub-par at best pre-6. You never want to dash in with your R unless you hit your Q first, that reset is what allows her to stick on her target. You never want to go in without activating your W, that shield does a surprising amount of damage. If you can, you'll want to build up your passive right before going in as well.

Really, DIana's power is mostly in the set up for the fight. Once she goes in, she's in. She's not getting out unscathed. If she is caught out of position, she's most likely dead.

She clears great once she gets the ball rolling. First clear isn't awful, but my reference is tanky junglers who are notoriously slow. Start Krugs -> Razorbeaks -> Red -> gank. I like Trailblazer-> Magus -> Sorc Shoes -> Nashor's Tooth (hit 40% CDR easily)-> Deathcap, situational defensive items, DFG if ahead. She uses Lichbane well too.

Land Q's for the ult timer reset. Get all your shield orbs popped for the second shield. Proc her passive as often as possible, as it's her best ratio. She's not secretly pretty good, I'm afraid to tell you. You'll constantly have to watch your mana, you can't kill anyone with a single ult so you'll have to get the cooldown refresh, which can be difficult because Q is a skillshot (and a curved one at that), to top it all off you can't escape if things go south.

DIana is very good at staying alive in the jungle. Her assassinate got hit a little with the lich bane nerf, but grabbing nashor's tooth instead can actually make up for this. Depends on how you want to play her. Experiment with builds (I've seen all ap, ap tank, or somewhere between the two) and consider using Rylais (Her passive IS magic damage on the third proc, and shield orbs would proc a near constant slow, which you can also activate E when you have everything else on CD).
