What is MMR?
My cousin just recently introduced me to MMR and i have been playing for 2 years now and i have never herd of it before. Can someone bring me up to date about what it is?

The MMR vaccine is an immunization vaccine against measles, mumps, and rubella. It is a mixture of live attenuated viruses of the three diseases, administered via injection. It was first developed by Maurice Hilleman while at Merck.
MMR = Match Making Rating
Back when we had the old ELO system they were equivalents as your ELO score, now that we have the leagues system is a hidden number that will determine with who other 9 players you get queue. It also determines how many LP will you win or lose per game. Your MMR is far more volatile than the leagues so A wining or losing streak will make it vary quite a lot.
I don't remember the exact numbers but I believe up to 1k MMR you are considered Bronze/Silver border and at 2.5k you are Silver/Gold Border.
I've never herd it either.
