Regarding the IWC at Worlds 2016

Lets be honest here there have been some really well deserving teams that could not make it to Worlds this year such as IMT and KT Rolster. I know it is a little bit too early to judge on the ALB and INTZ but I do not believe we are representing the best teams at this years Worlds. After watching the Yahoo Esports video Tilted #1 I have to agree that we need a 4th place tournament style including the top IWC teams with each region to determine who takes those last 2 spots for Worlds.

So then the set up would be the 4th place team from: NALCS, EULCS, LCK, LPL, LMS and the top 3 IWC

With this setup we would get the teams that deserved to be at Worlds not based on region but based on their superior skill

So it would look like this: NA: IMT EU: UOL LCK: KT LPL: WE LMS: TPA IWC: ALB, INTZ and CNB esports or Lyon Gaming (depending who would win that 3rd place match)

An advantage of this would be that it would give fans something to watch with this long break for Worlds, however the teams would be at a disadvantage by having less time to prep for Worlds, I think they would prefer this way over the current one!

But that's not fun. Maybe we'd get a two more decent teams (that wouldn't do anything big and would almost surely lose in Groups, let's be honest), but that's nothing compared to the brTT>Doublelift memes, or Dumbledoge getting FB on Faker, or kaBum beating Alliance. It's fun to watch these teams, and these teams really enjoy having a global stage to play on. This is what they've played for all year, a chance to play against the best teams in the world. Seeing them relegated to playing against, at best, the 3rd best team in some regions, would really suck for them.

See, the problem with this is that it wouldn't exactly promote "global equality". People watch worlds because they want to see the best teams from across the world compete against eachother on one stage. If you eliminate two of the regions (in this case russia and brazil), then it not only reduces the amount of regions affected by it but also makes said regions less inclined to actually watch it. Who really cares if the teams sent there are "terrible"? If anything it diversifies the already korean-heavy playerbase that'll be participating there anyways.

Nah, leave it as it is. I remember 2 years ago and how exciting and awesome it was to watch KaBum! win a game at worlds. Then last year, the qualifying Brazil team took 2 wins. Hopefully INTZ will continue the trend and they'll win 3 games! lol

I like that they bring extra teams from an "international" pool. The more variety the better.

Each "major" region has 3 teams if Riot changes the regions to having from 3 to 4 when will it end ? 1 year they change it to 4 but if a region has 5 top teams that deserve worlds will they change it to 5 then and it will just an endless process until it just becomes "every" team in the world gets to go, and it will make the Regions Spring-Summer-MSI- etc pointless. No fan will then watch anything but Worlds and even most fans won't care because "everyone" is in sure it may seem cool but at the same time there's nothing on the line to perform and try your hardest if you can just go 0-50 in the region splits and still get to go to worlds.
For KT Rolster and Immortals they had their chance same for Unicorns they had MULTIPLE opportunities to get to Worlds but they couldn't beat their own region to make it and for some if you can't beat your own region how do you expect to beat anyone at Worlds?

The whole point of Worlds is to give fans "different styles" of competition all around the world from different regions, it's not so much as Bragging rights of superior Regions as it is just being apart of something special. It's similar to the Olympics where yes there has to be a "winner" in every competition or the competitors would not try their hardest and would get complacent and we wouldn't have "top Tier" (athletes)-(League Players) if the competitors wouldn't have something to "reach" for.

Yes the IWC haven't been the best when it comes to Worlds and yes we all hear the BRTT> Doublelift and Froggen "Kabuum" but it is pretty obvious that IWC are like 3-21 when it comes to Worlds. At the same time their constantly in the hardest groups year in and year out, this past MSI the team that represented the IWC region won 1 game out of 6. Not bad when you look at it, as they did face the TOP teams Period at the time no #2 seeds no #3 seeds just #1 Seeds from LCK-LPL-NA-EU-LMS.

Long story short we need to have teams that are good to not make it or there would be nothing to fight for when it comes to solo regions(NA splits etc).

I do see Immortals(if they stay together) making a tournament to represent NA at like Katowice or something but they had their chance at worlds but couldn't beat their own region.
