Best role to play to get out of Silver?

Which role is worth mastering in order to get out of Silver 2/3 or Silver in general?

What I mean is, what role has the most impact in low elo (i.e. Silver)?

I would argue ADC because if a person were to main ADC your bot lane would not die at least more than 5 times before 10 minutes... Also, you're in a position to help your team get dragons since many low elo junglers are unskilled and you don't have to worry about having 0-14 bot lanes before 18 minutes in the 80% of the games you play.

If you know how to roam properly, Mid or Jungle.

Map pressure is how you get anybody, nay, everybody to snowball.

Seriously? What every role you want. As long as you play it right and know what you are doing you can carry yourself anywhere. Some roles just take a little longer than others.

Any role is easy to carry out of if you're good enough.

ADC. If you win botlane, you win dragon. You win early ward coverage. You win with a roaming support. You win with faster tower takedowns(including later dragon buffs)

If not ADC, mid. This is simply because you can roam. But when you roam, you want to feed other lanes... Not yourself. You get a good amount of assist gold and a fed ADC will help you win the game more easily.

Jungle, because well, you get to snowball every lane. Its not as easy as everyone suggests though.

Duo bot if you have a partner, otherwise just pick up a solo lane.

Duo bot is probably the best role, especially since you'll have the advantage of synergy and experience with your partner which you otherwise wouldn't. Communication with your support can go a long way, and an early snowball bot lane means lots of good things for team (drag control, siege potential, late game dmg early, two champs roaming as opposed to one, etc).

Mid lane would probably be my #2. You're right in the middle of everything, which means you have the best roaming opportunities of the lanes. Win lane, get the damages, snowball (or get your top/bot snowballing). Ez pz.

Top is about even with mid, if not a little lower. You can still roam, but it's harder to roam as effectively as mid even with tp. Also, it's one of the least forgiving lanes in terms of counterpicking, snowballing, and zoning. Still you can win early, and make a big impact. If you're more comfortable here than mid, stick with it and look to crush your lane and help out else where.

Jungling can be the most influential, but it's also one of the most team dependent. Your team can starve you from snowball/gank opportunities while simultaneously giving those same opportunities to enemy jungler (ie everyone's pushed, no one wants to drag or help in jungle fights)

ADC is actually towards the bottom in terms of difficulty carrying. Yes, you get lots of goodies from snowballing as ADC but actually making that happen is harder than other roles. In a lot of cases, even if you're better than the enemy ADC, the supports will make or break the lane. In terms of actual synergy with your support, it's hit or miss.

Support is probably the lowest for me. Not because supports are useless or weak (in terms of game influence), but because you can't fix stupid. If your ADC isn't up to par or fails to follow through on plays, you'll end up with a lost lane and maybe a lost game depending on how hard the enemy bot snowballs from it.

My friend is a d1 Jungle main. He gave me some advice when I got stuck that seemed to help. Stop going on tilt and focus on winning lane. Teams arguing with themselves is the biggest reason for losing, especially in silver. If you win lane it raises morale and seems to make your teammates do better. Role doesn't really matter.

If you are asking this question you really are not ready to advance.

When I was in Silver, I personally played mostly support or mid. Then around high Silver through Gold, I played more ADC.

If you play support, you can better control whether your ADC feeds or not. If your ADC isn't retarded, and if you are supporting decently, you can win lane and get both of you ahead. If you play something like support Annie, you can just feed yourself even if your ADC is bad. I played mostly Janna/Sona before the changes, and Zyra.

If you play ADC, your support can still do stupid things and feed, negating any progress you make. It's very difficult to win lane with a bad support, unless you seriously know your matchups and can cs under pressure to not fall behind. I played mostly Caitlyn to auto-win lane.

If you play mid, you need to play something that will roam and get kills. Ward the enemy jungle, hunt the jungler down and kill him. Drop a ward towards bot lane so you can catch the enemy mid if he roams. I played mostly Ahri.

Definitely not bot unless you have a reliable duo partner to go with you. Probably jungle or mid. Top is kind of boring, tbh.

Mid or jungle (and this is someone who mains botlane). It's the roaming factor like the poster above/below me said. Also, most people don't know what to do when the midlaner roams a lot. Just make sure your roaming actually secures kills/objectives otherwise it's not helpful.

I gave up on ranked for a while because I was super frustrated and thought botlane was a lane that didn't make an impact anymore even if you win lane. I started in S2 and kept going back and forth between S2 and S1 for a while. Although in the majority of games I won my lane, the other lanes fed and I couldn't do anything, either because they didn't have enough items (due to feeding) or didn't know how to peel/aim.

I suggest you duoQ with someone. Makes a ton of difference knowing that at least one other lane won't feed.

You can carry from any role. I've been maining ADC and I'm at silver 1, but I also have a great win rate mid and support
