40+ Fiora games on the PBE, what I learned, and what you can learn as well! Guide to New Fiora.
Hello I am gubigubi :V! I have 44 games played so far on the new reworked Fiora in the PBE. I have been a Fiora main for a very long time, about as long as I have been playing this game. I am here to try and show you some of the stuff I learned while playing her on the PBE and some tricks and builds you can use to make the transition into playing the new Fiora a little smoother. ** If you just want build and spell order Ideas just scroll down to the bottom of the post and have a look.**
First off lets talk about the rework before we get into the spells and builds and what you should expect from it. Fiora moved away from being an all in 100-0 type champion to more of a sustain/poke champion. Your passive heals you a small amount and using your Q to proc it costs very little mana. It lets you stay in lane phase and farm a little more safely than the old Fiora was able to do. This evens out some of the more unbearably match ups but also prevents you from totally stomping. You can still stomp people in lane though for sure but its no longer flip a switch and annihilate them after they use one ability incorrectly. Fioras new ult is much weaker damage and reliability wise but has its own strengths that the old ult did not have. I would say over all her kit is a lot more fun to play but there will be a few times where you really wish you had an old spell like blad waltz or her old Q to finish of an enemy. To people who don't play her much though I think you should enjoy her a lot more.
Okay now that the little summary is over lets get into the actual builds.
Early Game
Summoner spells
Some of the summoners I like to use are
-
-
So far of those
is my favorite. It provides a good escape/chase tool and seems to work out pretty well with Fioras kit.
Normally what I start off with is a
x3 This combined with your passive should keep you in lane for a very long time. If you are feeling a little agressive you can go with
like she does in live but so far I prefer the
x3 specially if you are just learning the kit and your strengths and weaknesses having the extra potions is very forgiving while learning.
So now that you know what to buy before you head to lane lets talk a little about Fioras new passive. Fiora identifies Vitals on nearby enemy champions. Fiora will reveal a new Vital afte striking the last one, or after 15 seconds. This is a pretty nice passive. I am not sure on the math but I think it provides a little better sustain than her old passive is and is definitely easier and safer to get the full heal effect from it than getting 4 stacks like what you had to do with her old passive. Its just proc 1 vital then use the speed you get from it to run back behind your minion wave. Make sure to be careful when you use it as it does pull minion agro so you will take some minion damage on top of what ever the enemy can trade back to you when you are running back.
But what if your passive vital is behind the enemy D:!? Pretty simple. Just walk out of range of the enemy then walk back into range. This will reset your passive on the enemy champion and let you get another chance at an easier vital to proc. Don't do this unless you know you wont miss CS however as hitting the vital doesn't do that much damage and doesn't heal that much so it is not worth missing CS for. Doing this however is very strong for mirror match ups against another Fiora as you can reset your vital and hers to a more favorable one for you.
Mid - early late game These are a few builds that I have been playing around with. One focuses more on damage while the second focuses more on procing the ult as much as possible.
Make sure you pick up
or
when ever you feel like it.

After those first couple of items I like to pick up
then see if I can get a little tanky with a
or
. The spirit visage is pretty alright with Fioras new ult as it does heal. Randuins more because its just a strong health + armor item. I have not personally done much with spirit visage as normally games on the PBE have been full AD on the enemy but on live in draft mode I feel people will be picking a more balanced comp letting you pick up the spirit visage.
**
Team fighting and using Fioras ult**
Your role in team fights during this phase of the game. Once people start grouping Fiora falls off a bit in my opinion with the rework. She really doesn't have many tools with her new kit to get back to the damage dealers and stop them reliably. But when you are ahead you will definitely want to make who ever you think is going to die first with your ultimate. Once they die your team will get healed from the easy first kill then steam roll the rest of the fight to a victory. It can just be hard sometimes getting that kill to activate the heal. And you never want to be the first one to leap into the fight even less so than you would want to in live as you will just be destroyed instantly.
So TL;DR of using her ult Ult a low or weak member of the enemy team who has low mobility to pick up easy team heals.
**Super late game. ** I'm not 100% sure on strats for the super late game yet as very few games on the PBE have gone to that far. And even fewer have been organized during the late game. I mean they were just random killings and getting caught because the PBE seems to be generally low elo in blind pick. But here is the final builds you want to be at for the end of the game.

You can also try some more damage focused builds such as Fioras old builds that still are pretty alright on her.

Feel free to swap out
and
In any of these builds as you see fit for the game. They are all pretty situational for Fiora the main thing to know that is important is they all give her a speed advantage to proc her vitals. I also included Furor enchantment on the boots they can really help out to get some speed to proc vitals as well. Buf if you run
or
I would advise homeguards but furor is something to play around with.
Spell order Normal Situations Max Q > E > R > W The Q is a very safe way to last hit and poke so start that if you aren't sure of what you need to start for a first spell.
Situations against mirror match ups and other melee heavy champions I would start E then max Q
So take 1 point in E then Q > E > R >W
I would use this against
and other champions like these.
So once Fiora goes live (and if they don't change her up a lot on the PBE before then) you will already have a little bit of an idea on how to build and play her. Hope this helps :V!
TL;DR version
Spell order
MAX Q > E > R > W
