Decision Making tips needed

I'm in B2 and sometimes I am matched with people that have less mechanical prowess than myself and I end up getting pretty ahead in CS and kills.

Most the time after some kills, I like leaving the tower up as it gives me more time to farm, get kills and get even further ahead. I'll do the occasional roam if I see that another lane is being pushed up or having trouble. But if I see that my team has pushed them all the way into the tower, I'm normally more reluctant in roaming as I feel that its a waste of time to roam. That being said, should I really be taking down those turrets ASAP?

Same goes for my mid game decisions, where all the turrets are down except that top tower, should I go there and try to take that tower? Since I've had those top (sometimes even mid liners) tell me to f* off and gtfo their lane and don't bring a crowd to them.

I'd like to hear some tips from people and what kinds decisions they make in regards to early / mid game turret taking.

It is all situational.

If you are top lane:

against a farm dependent champ and you have alot of solo kill potential but weak teamfight and escape, you should leave turret up to deny enemy farm, since you can repeatedly zone them. However, if you get ahead as a teamfighter champ you should force down the tower to get your team a burst of gold, force the enemy top laner to stay top to catch up, and then you can gank other lanes/steal enemy jungle without fear. And if you happen to also have alot of solo kill potential you can kill them, push to their 2nd tower and force other lanes to come top.

toplane if you can get a lead just split and kill anyone in your way, if you are mid take tower as fast as you can then help everyone else out

Hello! I have a lot of experience bot lane so I'll tell you how I see things.

Bot is all about advantages. Rushing level 2 and getting turret first are key to having impact. Why?

Level 2 = One more skill than your opponent (assuming he is level 1) which means more damage/utility and an easier time creating and opportunity to get ahead in health or cs

Getting Turret First = Freedom to roam/more gold. It's really good to get your turret and roam mid to try to get that turret too. This is essential to do when the enemy mid laner has a hard time clearing waves. Since you are AD, you'll be helping out your mid laner a ton. Therefore, the only time I wouldn't be in a hurry to push bot turret down is if the enemy team has a Ziggs, Lux, or some other great clear (unless he is dead or will be dead).

I hope this helps! ^.~

Setup a custom game with 3 intermediate bots. Jungle until they get your first tower. Then do whatever it takes to win the game.

How does that help ? It force you to learn all the stuff that your other teammates probably have to do to win the game. You will learn, split, cover and wave momentum by yourself in no time and you will be able to apply this in your next games. :)
