I'm getting really frustrated with this top lane business.

Riven is my favorite, and I'm trying to master her to climb ranked. I cannot for the life of me influence a game enough if we are even slightly behind. How does box box do it? I'm not sure I understand. I focus on fixing my mistakes, but I am sorry I cannot go 3/0 in the first 7 minutes running teleport so that I can tp down and save my bot lane from continuing to feed..

So what do I do? I feel so powerless top lane. Is that the new meta? I just don't understand. I am on a 6 game losing streak and I just cannot cover up all the holes my team makes fast enough. I am sorry I don't think anyone is good enough to cover up all the holes. I'm not raging but I am mad and angry. My teammates aren't afk, they aren't trolls, and hell I don't even blame them. They just suck. Period, and I have no idea how they got to my elo to be honest. I play like a team player and I work on my mistakes and stuff. I just don't understand. If I play top and play consistently well, my team throws the game long before I can come and share my advantage. Objective pings go ignored. Sightstones are unused. Junglers don't help ward their own jungle. Like I am so confused.

I use to main top lane like you till I discovered I was adept at the style of play seen in mid lane alot farm safely till the occasional all in plus, ur roams are fking awesome

about that point with the junglers not having any wards well they can drop a trinket evvery 2 minutes I think Junglers are staved... like theyre as broke or broker than he support but atleast supports benefit from having sighstone ;/

Ahh a fellow loser like me that's in a ranked slump :) - Everyone has bad games, bad lanes, bad match ups. You cant do perfect/great in every-game. Theres gonna be good and bad games. You can blame your team all you want, but that's not gonna help, only way you will climb is if you improve yourself. Do what i do : PLAY NORMALS. Ive played so many normals, since i was ranked silver 3 i was being matched with plat - diamonds. And trust me, its great practice, and less stressful then ranked. (Also if you have a high mmr in normals, when you play ranked, most matchups feel so "easy")

I have pretty much the opposite deal in top lane, I main support so I really have no idea what the scaling and power spikes for different champions are in top lane, but I find I'm able to have an influence on the game even from behind just by being in the right place at the right time. either pushing down an objective or roaming to gank another lane, or even just acting as a distraction. I roamed from base as Riven in a game the other day and ended up getting a triple kill and an assist, it helped bring 2 other lanes back into the game after they got behind, the next game I was able to push to the inhib through 2 towers after noticing the enemy Trundle I was against on a ward near drake, and also to lead the enemy team on a chase across the map while my team secured baron.
