It's hard to call a melee champion with no gap closer overpowered.

IMO i feel like his tiger DoT is a bit too strong but over-all he's very balanced.

It depends on whether Trick2g is playing him.

not overpowered, but very good in the right team. His teamfight is way weaker than a lot of current meta junglers, but his split pushing is almost unrivaled. Pair him with champs that have good waveclear and just 1-3-1 or 1-4 split push. If the enemy team comes to stop you, your team can put pressure somewhere else. Would still prefer a Rek'Sai in general though as she split pushes just about as well, has better ganks and map coverage, and can team fight way better.

It depends on the elo. Lower level players can't kite and don't have knowledge on counter picks. Pick Udyr in a high elo match and you'll get chunked to half HP before you even get a chance to stun someone.

an Udyr with a mega stacked Devourer, Botrk, and Triforce, is a thing to be feared.

I think he's a good, simple jungler. Would recommend him to new junglers. I'd say he's balanced.

I had a guy msg me after a game I played as Udyr. He was apparently a friend of the Vayne on our team and was spectating. He told me I did well and carried our game as Udyr, but he told me that my build was cancer. If I recall correctly my end game Udyr build goes something like:

Beserker's Boots = Atk speed means more hits, and with the ad build it lets me pile on TONS OF DMG faster onto Turrets/Objectives. If behind I might get Tabi or Merc

Jungle Item (Usually Stalker) + Devourer = Punch things faster, and give em a wet willie while you do it

Bloodthirster = DURMAGE. Plus blood sheild synergies with Turtle Stance providing Udyr extra time to live longer and thus get in more attacks and more dmg

Infinity Edge = It's got the durmage I want. Everything else (crit, passive) are just bouses to me.

Botrk/Ghostblade = If I want to focus on a kitey enemy or help me deal with Mundos are Volis, I take BotK. Otherwise Ghostblade's active helps me rush out of base and have it back on CD for solo'ing towers/objectives.

Maw of Malmortius/Phantom Dancer = Do I have enough dmg and want more atk speed, or do I want more dmg and can use the Maw's passive?

This is a typical build of mine, granted I interhance things like a GA or BV or Thornmail. But the guy said my build was cancer/not right. However, at the same time he told me he loved my playstyle, let me know he really enjoyed watching how I played Udyr and handled him. I asked him to explain why my build was cancer, and IIRC he said something like I wasn't built as a team player. I either nuked every one down by myself and left my team behind or I was a short burst one shot poney that couldn't perform for his team.

I believe this has to do with Udyr being tanky/sustain/do a buncha stuff, but when I play Udyr, I don't want sustain, or tankyness, or durability. I don't want Statik Shiv, and as far as on hit effects go I only need a few. I want damage. I want every single strike to be as painful as possible and I wanna watch Udyr unleash a cascading avalanche of blows at such speed one either Reks as is ideally or falls off short as the wanna be

I developed this playstyle before knowing what a Trick2G thing way. And after finding out it made ALOT MORE SENSE remembering people calling Godyr (or wanna be godyr) or Trick2Insult. I see alot of people going with the balanced Udyr build, being able to live longer and deal his dmg through a longer period of time. But for me, I need to be the glass cannon udyr with lifesteal. I feel if I cannot obliterate my targets fast enough, I either engaged poorly, picked the wrong fight, or bad the wrong play. I feel with full ad/atk speed Udyr I can position and pick fights and assasinate while having all my dmg options constantly available to me with almost no cd what so ever.

Thoughts? Onions?

As an Udyr main, I can say he is not OP at all. His movement speed is the one thing keeping him relevant at all since any champion can build to be tanky.

Udyr's early game is pretty bad on top of that, counter junglers destroy his game and on top of that a lot of the time lanes are complaining because they are feeding meaning you still don't have time to farm.

About 5 minutes ago I went against a Yorick (who I know can level 2 dragon from personal experience) and I couldn't even damage the dude on level 18, his lifesteal recovered everything I hit. On top of that you get sucky team fighting ability because your literally a meatshield/stunbot.

As much as I love Udyr he has heavy flaws and weaknesses making him a risky pick in most games. Before people complain about Udyr take a look at Lee sin and J4....

Godyr is now a permaban if I'm the leader. I've seen too many games of Godyr killing my not-so-smart allies w/ ease. Stupid. Permabanned.

Udyr takes a bit of game sense to play. He's able to kill squishies provided he can get on top of them, he can splitpush with the best of them, he can peel for his carries extremely well, he can provide a lot of objective control, and he can out duel a vast majority of champions after he gets a couple of items under his belt.

Overall, I'd say he's Balanced with the potential to be Very Strong, or Very Weak depending on the person playing him and what they build.
