How to get team to buy wards?

After watching worlds, I understand that ALL players should buy wards. I'm in ~1500 MMR, gold V (but i don't really play ranked). How do I convince my mid, top, and adc to buy wards instead of just leaving it to the lee sin jungler and support to buy wards. 6 wards isn't enough. I sometimes kind of wished that I could play support again and place 10 wards on the map at once. I want to play with people that know how to buy wards.

I think the big thing to remember is that you can't force anybody to do anything. As skill levels improve, people will ward more often on their own. If nobody else on your team is warding, you can try to politely ask people to throw a ward down in some key areas. Don't call anybody out specifically... say something like "Hey can someone throw a ward down in tri brush?" or something like that. The last thing you want to do is make another player feel like they're being singled out.

If still nobody is warding... just do your best. Use your wards in the most vital areas and do your best!

if the game doesnt matter buy 6 sightstones and say no one else is doing it so you'll ward for everyone

I just ask people to ward a certain location when they can and I remind them every few seconds. 95% of people will listen for some reason.

When I jungle, if I ward for my top and mid laner, that means I can't ward for my own jungle and opponent's jungle. It really sucks.

One of the main reason to put out ward skin is to let people that don't like to put wards,Put ward.

wards are not efficient, better to make do with limited information and make the best of it rather than spend 75g on wards.

You don't. If your mid doesn't wanna ward you can either ward for them or eat it.

People don't take critique well. People that don't ward aren't magically going too start, and usually if it takes them getting punished 8 times first and by then it's to late.

If you want to get ahead, especially if you jungle, is bite the efficiency bullet and just ward for them. It's a good general rule really if someone on your team is playing like a Moran, all you can do is take it into account and play around it. Someone keeps over extending and getting ganked? Watch for it and counter gank. Someone won't group and stop splitting? Work around it, because stupid or not they're gunna keep doing it.

Note for laners: you have no idea how much easier you make you junglers life if you ward your jungle enterances etc. especially mid. Even if your pushed to tower and safely farming under tower you still need to ward so we can see where your laner is going and where their jungler is.

Pings are nice, but people have no idea if your lane is going back to base, roaming top, or roaming bottom whe you just Ping Mia. That makes them pretty ineffective if you don't ward.

I find saying, in game, things like "honor for the best pink ward," helps to get my teammates to ward more.

Another example: I was support. Someone on our team kept pinking the round bush in bottom river, leaving me free to pink the dragon pit itself for more vision denial. I said, "Whoever is pinking that bush [ping] is the best <3" Turns out it was our Syndra mid. 2 minutes later, another pink shows up.

It's not perfect, but it does help. The most important thing to remember is NOT to yell at people if they ignore you -- because then you just undid all your hard work by getting your team mad at each other.

A final thing you can do is to play a role that's not support, if possible. Usually you can rely on the support to ward, and maybe the lee sin jungle -- If you, the mid/top/adc, are also warding, 7 wards (greens and pink) may not be perfect, but it's a helluva lot better than only 3.
